*arrives almost a year late with a smoothie* uhm, hi ^^ also, please check the description box before commenting! as usual, it's where i put important info like the fandom/show name, what software i use and (if applicable) the song, etc! ^^ thank you!
we all wish we could be sam, aragorn, legolas or any number of lotr characters… but real self-awareness is admitting to yourself that you are, in fact, bilbo.
I mean, that's what made reading the hobbit so fantastic, it's just like you in that adventure, the book is all bilbo (which is one of the most relatable characters in all fantasy) in these weird and unconfortable adventures that makes you dirty and late for dinner
We all are like Bilbo at first. But watching this and applying the thematical lessons of it broadens our character to be more like the others. Some choose to stay like Bilbo, but probably post journey / old one. I'd probably be like Smaug tho lol.
In the Book, Merry found out about the ring when he was a little kid bc he accidentally saw Bilbo put it on in order to avoid the Sackville-Bagginses lol
"...find somewhere quiet where I can finish my book." Bilbo Baggins calling me out. Seriously though, when the dwarves invaded his house, I admired Bilbo so much for his patience because I would've gone batshit crazy.
I've watched an unexpected journey dozens of times but then I noticed that and was like "WAIT A MIN--" and knowing how prone Martin Freeman was to flipping the bird, I wouldn't be surprised if he snuck that version of it in there lmaooo
Fuck adapting the Silmarillion lets have a trilogy about Bilbo being unsociable for 60 years: The Introvert of the Ring: An Uninterrupted Supper The Introvert of the Ring: A Quiet Day Writing The Introvert of the Ring: A Walking Holiday Alone
In Ireland, the index and middle finger 'up yours' gesture is the same as the middle finger but more aggressively. E.g. if someone used the middle finger it was like they were telling you to '**** off', but with both fingers it was means they are telling you to '**** OFF!!!' (all caps)
To be fair the hobbits of the Shire are a lot more annoying in the book. In the film they seem like common folk who don’t like much nonsense but in the book they are pesky, nosey people who never seem to leave him alone. I feel him.
It's framed as funny, but since Hobbits are such social creatures, it's actually foreshadowing of his slow corruption. It's actually a good bit of subtle directing/acting. It's funny in the moment, but once you see the ring's long-term effects on Gollum, you're like, "ooooooh, I get it" about this earlier scene.
It should also be noted the shire is pretty isolated, so hobbits are pretty unaccustomed to foreigners. It’s why the scouring of the shire is so horrifying and why the hobbits we follow going on adventures is so surprising both in and out of universe
odd question, but what movie is 0:44 from? I've heard people say that it's from the first hobbit movie, but I watched it more times than I'm willing to admit. I haven't seen the third one yet, so I wondered if it might be from that movie, but everyone insisted that it was An Unexpected Journey. I'm confused!!! I would like someone to tell me so that I can watch it, find out why he's avoiding Gandalf, and put my mind at ease. Please. Thank you.
It’s from the extended edition of AUJ! It’s a scene inbetween Gandalf going “good morning”, and the party that night. There are a lot of scenes added to the extended editions of the whole hobbit trilogy, just like they did with LotR, if you’re interested in seeing those too

Loved that Bilbo CANONICALLY used the ring to pretend he wasn't home when annoying people came to the door.
Honestly, I would do the *exact* same thing if I had an invisibility ring! 😂

I wanna be Bilbo. PLeeaaaaassee
Hell, I’m probably just sam’s old gaffer or Butterbur or someone.

I literally am. I’m a hobbit. I never want to leave my house (the shire), I have big feet, and I eat a lot. I am a hobbit 😂
Only Bilbo would use the One Ring to Rule Them All as a way to avoid socializing. 🤣
In the Book, Merry found out about the ring when he was a little kid bc he accidentally saw Bilbo put it on in order to avoid the Sackville-Bagginses lol
The One Ring to avoid them all
My man found a ring of power and used it to avoid socializing. A whole fkn mood.
Lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Exactly what else is more important than that?
I probably would've done the same, honestly.
he was so good at it that even Sauron couldn't tell he was at home
"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."
I just realized that I’m Bilbo. I just wanna be left alone.
Same
I wanna be physically in a room alone but online with several people to talk to
Me too lmao!
"Unsociable? Me?" Jokes on you he's ALWAYS been that way!🤣
Alt title: introverts be like at social gatherings or basically, anywhere:
1:24 Bilbo’s little whimper when he saw Fili and Kili make me feel so sorry for him, but laugh at the same time 😂
Him making the piss off hand gesture and playing it off as him fiddling with the tobacco pipe is something i never caught onto until now 😂
"...find somewhere quiet where I can finish my book." Bilbo Baggins calling me out. Seriously though, when the dwarves invaded his house, I admired Bilbo so much for his patience because I would've gone batshit crazy.
Bilbo baggins the most introverted hobbit ever
"You must be Mister Boggins :D"
0:40 this will never not be funny/relatable to me 🤣🤣🤣
Bilbo is the cutest~
Frodo is *handsome* , but Bilbo is ADORABLE
He's very pretty
wow you posted this right when ive been getting back into my hobbit obsession?? perfect timing dhfjf
i have a sense for these things XD
the "Up yours" part with snippets of info is brilliant
heheh thank you!

That face when you get something you didn't want or ask for 0:44
0:40
says it all
this is why he is one of my favourite characters
Every time I watch this movie and every time he makes that face, I'm SO delighted, it's the Best Face
@@pyjamacryptid that was the moment i knew he would always have a special place in my heart
Bilbo is the biggest mood 😩💯
Honestly, Bilbo is just a mood in general
this is so relatable i'm gonna CRY
This is GENIUS. He is THE best, and this vid is SO on point!!
Maybe that's why Bilbo is my favorite Hobbit.

As an irish woman, yh
Maybe it’s Dwarf PTSD.
More like wizard ptsd. The dwarves became his friends.
But Gandalf became annoying
Losing Thorin hit Bilbo like a punch to the heart. Thorin was Bilbo’s true friend.

I understand him so much
pelase i love lotr/hobbit so much 😭
Bilbo is my absolute favorite Hobbit. Not only is he a mood, he’s a whole snack too 😜💗
This was the funniest edit I’ve seen of Bilbo omg 😂
Man, I knew I was Bilbo Baggins when I was 8 years old, which is when I watched the Hobbit in theaters

Lol he be me 💯💀
As a kid, I’ve always saw myself as Sam, Aragorn or Legolas but as an adult, like many of you, I’m pretty much Bilbo 😂
you can tell when someone is anti-social if they speak in comic sans
Well he WAS correct…he was not, in fact, Mr. Boggins.
he’s just like me fr fr
why does this describe me
Unsociable?? Me? Nonsense! 😂
Ren, this is the single most hilarious comp I have seen 😆😆😆
i honestly cant remember 00:58... what extended edition did i miss..?
That would be from the AUJ extended edition!
@@pyjamacryptid ooo tysm! Do you think I could find any in Scandinavian thrift stores?

@@pyjamacryptid thanks!! I don't have the extended version, but I'll see if I can find it.
wait a minute, where's 0:48 from??? I didn't remember that from the movies
Probably a deleted scene/ from the extended version
I'm pretty sure it's in the extended edition of an Unexpected Journey. I watched theatrical version the other day and it wasn't in it
Fun fact the coat Bilbo is wearing in the extended version was made into a lego figure for a target extended DVD edition and its supper rare
It’s from the extended edition of AUJ!
He lost his hubby Thorin…
Relatable
Everett K. Ross before Captain America Civil War.
he’s so me
calling it now: the average hobbit is typically pretty social, but hardcore introverts are WEIRD
Sassy boi!
0:45 I don't remember that moment, from which movie is that?
An unexpected journey! It’s from the extended edition
Peace Out
wait when was the part he was running from gandalf?
Extended edition
Jajajaja soy yo
Iz funny😝
