Thank you so much! I live in Canada, so I'm not that familiar with your stores. But I got these socks at our Dollar Store. So maybe you can try to look for them at your Dollar Tree or places like Walmart. :)
@Diane Forsman You can find fake fur at the fabric store for sure. If you think outside the box, you might find fake fur gloves, pillows, leg warmers (Dollarama), hats...but for those I would try looking at thrift stores because last thing you want to do is spend too much money on this craft.
Thank you so much. They are really easy to make. I made these with a group of 9 year old kids and they all turned out looking really cute. I just used socks that I found at my local dollar store. Some were Christmas socks and one gnome is made with a women's cardigan sock. Take care! :)
Hey! Thank you so much. They are anywhere from 6'' to 10'' tall. It depends on the size of the socks you use. I used adult socks from the dollar store. :)
I was also concern about those bugs, this is why I like to use things like little rocks, sand or salt. I think salt is fine as long as you put it in a little baggy. :)
Just microwave your rice before you put it in. This will kill any and all ''lava eggs'' that might be in the rice... and then go ahead with your gnome... the ''bugs '' won't survive a good microwaving and it won't cook the rice
Cute video. If you just cut the back of the fur (not all the way through the front) your beard will look nicer with longer hair around the sides and bottom.
Very nice! But why not use less plastic etc.? you can do more environment friendly versions with rice, wool ties for example... Help save our planet...
These are too, too cute. TFS
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. :)
SO!!!!cute!
Thank you!

When you line the little gnomes up at the end the first thing that popped in my mind was the guys from Duck Dynasty.😁
LMAO! That's hilarious. I can see what you mean. HaHa! :)
Your gnomes are the cutest!
Thank you so much. :)
Sooo cute....Did not know you could use some stuffing and not all rice. Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you! It's less risky to use rocks or sand instead of rice, since there's always that chance that bugs can infest the rice over the years.
These are sooòoo cute. Great tutorial. Thanks for Sharing 😊
Thank you so much. You're very kind. :)

What is the darker fur and where do you get it?
The darker fur is also fake fur and it came from the hood of a winter coat I had.
Diane Forsman you can find different color fur at Joanne’s, Michael’s, or hobby Lobby as well.

These are adorable! Any idea as to where I might find socks like these ?
Thank you. I found these at the Dollarama dollar store. I saw some that looked the same at Suzy Shire, Walmart and Winners and I think Old Navy.
Hi. Can you tell me what you used to cover the styrofoam ball? Thin burlap? Thanks.
Nylon stockings. :)
I love the way you made these what kind of socks did you use I just love your video you make it look easy

Ayeee! I’m finally early! This Video deserves way more likes ! I’m gonna try to make this! Thanks for subscribing to me! Happy Holidays !
I hope you have fun making these. They look so cute as Christmas decorations. Happy Holidays to you too! :)
@FuzzyDragon1 I will! Enjoy your holidays !
I loved your way of making them you did it much simpler. Thank you
@Brandy Morales Thank you so much! I prefer it when crafts are simple, fun and cheap.
What did you use for the nose? I love it..
Thank you! I used a Styrofoam ball and 2 pieces of nylon stockings. :)
So cute. I love your nose.
Thank you! I really appreciate it! :)
How do you get the beard to separate on either side of his nose. This is cute as can be
Thank you so much. I just played around with the hair with my fingers to separate them into a mustache.
If you put the nose on first you , cut a v in the fur then glue around the nose
That can be another way to do it. :)
Great tutorial. These are so cute. How tall are they? Are you using a children's sock?
Hey! Thank you so much. They are anywhere from 6'' to 10'' tall. It depends on the size of the socks you use. I used adult socks from the dollar store. :)
Keep up the excellent work.
Thank you! :)
Great way to make nose
Thank you! I really appreciate it. :o)
Why did you put plastic bag inside that sock? the sock would keep it inside quite nicely.
I put a plastic bag because those socks are loosely knitted. The little rocks could easily come out if it wasn't for some kind of barrier.
Has anyone used Epson salts instead of rice ? Concerned about those little black bugs getting into the rice.
Thank you for the tip.
TheFuzzyDragon. But what about mice ?
I just use little rocks or sand, so I don't worry about it. :)

Aww! Thank you Kathryn! :)

I enjoyed the tutorial but turned off the music.
Sometimes I do that too! ;)
Turn your sound off if you don't like it.
I thought it was nice
Muy lindo pero le corto las barbas.. Así no se corta la tela peluche.. Te doy un.. 👍👎... 😜
HaHa! Obrigada! :)

@@TheFuzzyDragon1 or reuse plastic bags!
