Happy to see this one out, I'm in a weird spot where DD1 is way too easy for me but DD2 is way too hard, man, IM STRUGGLING with this game, can't beat chapter 2 boss, thanks for this
A nice interaction that I've encountered with the Pocket Watch is with Sharpshot Double-Tap. If you use it and get stunned at "the end of your turn" it only skips the second shot. So as long as that's always how you open your turn, you can end up only losing "half" of a turn instead of the whole one. Combined with the fact that HWM has pretty good stun res to start with, it can actually be incredibly strong. Hopefully they haven't patched that, lol
I actually like the Spiked Skullcap a lot. Threw it on a Hellion with the Deadly quirk and it was like 80% crit chance on anyone she used Howling End on. But I stuck a disease as I landed the last strike on the Confession boss so that was pretty funny.
1:22:13 I doubt it can be coded like that but in the Tangle, an enemy comp with drummer. Drummer spams defensive formation. Leper hits break on unit that guards. Drummer could stop getting guarded as well. Actual value.
Mortal Ward is S tier, it mitigates all the downsides of taunt and lets your tank not need multiple heals because healed once + dodge+ = they don't need further maintenance.
Thing I'd argue for prodding pendant is if you put it on maa or leper, they get stress damaged a l o t and end up taking a lit of stress, but then heal it off and can stress heal themselves, and personally have had it make my tank just never die, so I'd argue its niche at best, but would call it far from bad
Managed to put pocketwatch and anchoring charm on Occ the other day. One turn stars or malediction, often several times each fight, and almost no stun actually stuck. Glorious.
I once scored an 89 crit hit with burning stars on aspirant using instructice again buff with shamblers eye and horror from the blood. There's alot of weird and cool combos you can pull out with alot of trinkets, probably the most fun i had with the game
Your math on the extra action clock is goofy, that thing is incredible. Even if you hit stun on your first turn, you’re virtually guaranteed to resist it next turn, so you at least get one action fairly reliably. Slap that shit on a heavy carry character like MAA or Leper who needs a lot of self-setup
@@ShuffleFM Agreed, but after R1 the math is still better than 50% extra action, 50([stun res])% nothing, 50(1-[res])% stun because the odds of hitting 2 stuns in a row are a fair bit worse than the odds of hitting 2 extra actions. Granted R1 is almost always the most important, but I still can't help but think you were harsh on this trinket. Might have something to do with that hilarious clip of the watch abusing poor Dismas? Finding a form of stun res for this thing clinches runs. Edit: Also, so glad to see Eyes of the Void getting some appreciation!
@@eliasalias7851the pocketwatch is so fun to use. It feels so nice to burst something down turn 1 cause you got lucky with the extra turn Yesterday I almost got screwed over by it on act 5 because my gr was getting stunned every second turn while facing her failure and i really wanted every character to use exaltation to close out my grandslam run
This makes me want to see a quick thrilling tablet tier list (aka how well do they use it solo) also semi curious what you think about strong shackles now. I would say it's niche, but it does have some semi interesting uses (leper, if you can manage to trigger a first immobilize on gr it's fun to spam lunges in place, etc)
Royal summons can also give crit on allies with battle ballad, so it has some support usage. The percentage is too low to be reliable, but when it works, it's nice
Spoken sharply is insane if given to anyone who spams riposte token as the 4 heal will apply on each of them. The 4 heal of the riposte also put you out of the dead's door.
Jealous whisper is really good on any class that moves or anyone that’s going to get moved by other party members i had it on a crusader with a highway man with Temptation it was very strong especially good with good relationships
With limited inventory space, meaning there will be very few things you can keep, and 2 trinket slots per char, your C 'BAD' should be 'utter trash or auto discard', half of your niches are straight up bad or useless (like 1 in 10 chance of a positive effect happening is nothing), your usable should be 'Situational' or 'Character specific' and A should be 'Always equip'
I feel like extra DOT amount isn't actually THAT bad, because you only get extra damage after 3 turns, and most enemies die quickly if like a plague grenade with goblet procs which means it's unlikely to get past turn 3, and if it does, it's pretty much dead. In fact, if you're going for a DOT build, you probably have plague doctor in there with coverage just in case you need to clean up with more DOT. I do, however, still think duration is better against bosses, because you'll almost definitely get the extra payoff of that extra 1 or 2 turns of damage stacking. Also, I think it's worth noting that foeter blight trinkets are actually a bit worse, because if you wanna commit to blight fully, you'll likely run PD an Flag, and they are gonna struggle to do damage because blight skills don't do much damage outside of blight.
Made a comment about how duration is always better than amount when it comes to DoTs. While that's definitely true against bosses, I'd argue most enemies that you DoT don't even live the full three turns, so extra duration is almost completely useless in a lot of fights.
I'm down the the last pack of DD2 and it's juts TODAY that I figured that the That Aply is on the enemy and Gain is on the player o.O...The game just got lotttt easier xD
Tier lists are always fun, good list. My only complaint is I don't like your reasoning 'well only some characters do x so its niche' with dot trinkets and such. You're obviously only going to go for those and use them if you have those characters so I think you should have rated them in their best case. Good video regardless thanks!
not a huge fan of the dodge band, if you miss you can get a blind, which makes you miss more, potentially leading to multiple blinded turns in a row if you aren't lucky
Im gonna be sad when pd gets a path change because alchemist path is without flaw. Her high base blight piercing allows her to get stupid amounts of blight through memories and trinkets without needing to worry about resists
If heartshaped locket provided a passive +15% damage, +3 speed and +10% crit in addition to the +10% resolute chance and when resolute gain 2 positive tokens would bring this trinket up from bad to always good. This can be said for all of the trinkets that just give resolute chance.
That would be super overpowered, and then just make the resolute part irrelevant since people would only run it for the damage and speed. You can’t just fix trinkets by giving them insane stats that aren’t related to how the trinket was supposed to be used in the first place
Does the debuff res not work on leper chop skill blinding him. Im guessing it doesn't because he had 90 debuff res and chop skill was still blinding him. Which sucks
hey i am a new player trying to figure out wtf to do would help if you stopped at the end and looked at the tier list so i could atleast see the complete tier list
The problem with this tier list is the "niche" and "S" tier grades. Some of the niche items literally break the game and are worth like 10x the S trinkets in the right situation. Alchemist PD with brilliant brew and corrupted bile gland or pretty much any plague damage trinket is the best dps in the game by far. And has so much more value then pretty much anything else. Same with bleeders + the beck and call + bleed trinkets. They are so far ahead of anything in the s tier column that it makes the entire s tier column irrelevant.
Isn't it kinda sad that most trinkets are bad or niche at best? Seems like the devs kept the mentality of DD1 where this system worked, because you slowly build your arsenal of trinkets so bad trinkets had some use and niche trinkets would be good since you can build a team around them
i've seen a couple tier lists of yours, and you should consider rethinking your tiers in this video specially your "niche" and "always good" was a bit messy... i mean, isnt it obvious that a blight trinket is "niche" in a sense that its only good on a blight hero, but in that hero it is a very good trinket? maybe niche should be reserved for harder to achieve situations, like facing specific X enemy, good in combinations with another trinket/item/quirk/disease, good only in specific party combinations, and so on... and not to "niche cause not every hero has blight"
Dearest Shuffle, Allow me to complement your sweet sweet contents, I'm glad to se yet another tierlist. I am eager to see what will be the next video and hope for you the very best. Now that I also consume your vieaogram live broadcasts on the twitcherium I also enjoy your profound stones astronomic bullet heaven runs with great enjoyment. As always it was a real pleasure and wish you a pleasent eavening, The bestests, Humble people of RUclips
@@ShuffleFM You literally do this in other tierlist. I just checked the enemy tierlist. It doesn't cut out but shows the final tierlist for a "long" time.
@@ShuffleFM + 6 speed is always good. +20% dmg is always good. Everyone knows this. Block upgrading into better block after turns end is always nichce. Everyone knows this. But which trinket gives more power than the other? It would be better to make classic tier list with grades like S and B.
Haven't even started the video but Hellion looking so fine in the thumbnail I have no choice but to agree with everything you said Shuff
I did it for you specifically
@@ShuffleFM My influence grows...
Even more fun is MAA with Murder Weapon, crit token, and Bellow. Barristan's bringing back Heart Attacks from DD1.
You could see soul leaving Shuff body when he got to pocket watch, he will never forget.
It stuns me 100% of the time
"Ranged damage usually doesn't hit as hard"
*Warlock Occultist nervously shuffles*
Everyone likes a Shuff tier list special. Even if they are spicy. That adds flavour.

It has done a lot of work on Flag recently. Him getting hit just has so many returns.

Personally not a fan of gambling 25% :P
It's more like going from 20% to 5% chance to die to the next hit. (if base dbr is 80%)

Pulsing heart can be really good if you have appaling apron, perfect synegry. It only happened to me once and it was amazing on Crusader
IMO trinkets are one of the highlights of DD2, some of them are game-changing.

Nah base stun res is pretty bad for most heroes. The +40% gets them to 60 or 70% usually, definitely not guaranteed.

Skullcap disease -> Sickening Silence is my favorite combo
Emancipation for Flag is incredibly strong, it carried an intere run for me in confession 4.
Despite everything, I'm a firm pocketwatch enjoyer.

Footman's Grog with the Daredevil quirk makes my pants tight.
