The decades of 60 thru 70 were the most beautiful 🤩 I was very young and was years when people knew to behave. We had young woman dressed as queen 👸 princess representing the towns of the island 🏝. What sad this parade is only a shadow of the 20 years ago. Clearly the Puerto Rican community is loosing the pride and joyful of many decades ago. Sorry 😢 that doesn’t look like the others were si beautiful the last decades are ugly and people look so shabby. Sad I have not been in these paredes for decades. I move to New Jersey and I do not plant to move back. I feel stranger and where I used has improved thanks God.

Loved the Mott Haven Children’s Group… I would have organized the parade differently…. It was hard to capture the soul of Las Islas and the Diaspora… too much of a hodge-pudge. I would have preferred groupings like educational groups, cultural groups, unions, politicians, music, march of La Islas pueblos, businesses that service the communities, etc. Anything that would have giving a more pronounced sense of all the arenas that sustain our communities identities.

Right the old parades 60, 70, both flags use to be in the front and the parades with police department. Well clothing now they looks like people walking 🚶♀️ in the streets and shabby. Instead to improve the parade went down. I do not see future for this parade the Irish still beautiful and PR goes down.😪😪😱😱
