amazing tutorial! I tried it and my first one turned out much better than I expected! I've tried shapes before and always been disappointed and gone back to abstract pom poms, which I do love. For me the "aha" moment was working on the shape after its been cut but before removing the loom-- my tip to those out there is that you can do a lot more here than you might think so don't give up if you end up with something that looks more like an oval or a circle because you can kind of twist and physically sculpt it, and trimming out the heart shape helps-- sometimes the heart is hidden under a few longer pom hairs. Also, if there is a a bit of yarn that is just in the wrong place (like right at the top of the heart at the triangle) you can pull out a strand or two--obviously don't go overboard but if you've wrapped it thick you should be fine. I'm thinking of experimenting with starching or maybe even hair spraying just the shape a little to help it stay. Maybe just the edge of the heart to kind of make a stable outline? Has anyone tried anything like this?

P.S. for others reading, I used cheaper contraptions like these from Amazon that came with yarn, and my mini hangable scissors, and had no problem.
