I think all of the richtofens have a shared memory, but are all slightly different, and the one that died is the "pure" one that hasn't been corrupted by anything yet.
One of the best easter egg cutscenes ever created...why Treyarch hasnt made a single player campaign for zombies yet is beyond me. There is so much story in such a simple game mode its baffling. I understand about 10% of it and i think its the coolest shit in the world. I would PAY FULL PRICE for a linear single player experience centered around the zombies storyline traveling to place to place playing as these guys. For me the steps in order to complete these EEs are just way too hard and it would be cool if i could experience this for myself but i most likely never will unless they create a campaign of sorts in their next game

I feel like we’re glossing over something here Why would he be so cold when addressing himself and letting him BLEED to death while he watches Why would the full team just go along with watching him bleed out and turning their back on him Did Richthofen even know how he would sacrifice himself?? Also I think something changed during the boss fight too the cutscene because Dempsey says “pull him outta there” showing that he doesn’t know what’s going on but then finds out

@@ZedRipplez it could be due to the laws of how the system works. The new doctor drops the blood which from Rev indicates that the "old" doc is from an old cycle/dimension indicating he can no longer be a part of the cycle.
mariomaster457 They didn't know who the richtofen was in the chair. After nikolai read the book it changed the memories they had of him so they didn't know who was in the chair after a little while after
You know that could be an endless loop because if electricity goes off the cryopods would stop, ice would melt and the frozen guys could start all over again

Possibility one: Monty was using the cycle to win his own personal war against the Shadowman, not ever letting the cycle be broken. Perhaps without the cycle he can't win so he abuses it. Or perhaps he uses the cycle to torture the Shadowman and others. Possibility two: Victis is still there. Watch this be planned by the Richtofen that interacted with Victis through BO2. Revelations Richtofen leaves with the other 3, then Misty, Marlton, Russ and Stu wake up and revive dead pre revelation Richtofen. All part of the crazy and evil Victis Richtofen's plan.
Another possibility is the Revelations Richthofen we are seeing is actually the true apprentice of the Shadowman. This could be why he basically says "I'd like to say I'm sorry, but I'm not". This could be a huge twist, and a complete flip. Perhaps Dr. Monty is the evil one and the Apothicons are just trying to break his cycle.

Even thought rictofen had a lot of blood taken out of him I think he could still be alive and the people that were frozen are thawed out once the crew leaves because they said the process of the other chambers were slow so the transit crew could save the rictofen here and something new could happen in the last dlc.

Powerful. It’s rare I feel this much sympathy for a video game character, but this is the first time Richthofen has not been in control, the first time he has ever been defeated, and that hits hard, he was by far my favourite character.
To the people saying stuff like “why didn’t they help him?”, the reason the other richtofen didn’t was to break the cycle and my speculation as to why the others didn’t is that they know there’s 100’s if not 1000’s of other richtofen’s even though that theory is pretty heartless.
Another thing that kind of sucks is that because the dimension was closed, Victus never thawed out in time and now they've been erased for all eternity :(
Dempsey screamed for them to get richthofen out of the machine (when the easter egg starts). after the explosion they got blown far away from the machine. when they all see templar richthofen they assume he's ok and before they can ask questions the portals show up to distract them. if Dempsey knew that his comrade was still in the machine he would have tried to save him. dieing richthofen's voice was just too weak for them to hear. :(

Although this may be sad it’s almost like how the old richtoffend from bo1 brought back the new richtoffen from bo2 and 3 and I think this is almost going to be like how the new crew killed their younger versions of them selfies except that in the revelations cutscene we see the all the 4 hero’s with their staffs...I think that’s what going to happen is that the heroes with the staffs and capes kill their bo3 selves and now we got a newer version of the heroes...but hey just a theory
I swear that it's easy to forget that this takes place during the zetsoubo end. Before gorod happens, but now the story changes and gorod and revelations never happens. But what I dont get is that in the normal story line where there is zetsoubo where they teleport then come back then move on to gorod then revelations, this all went smoothly. That teleport from zetsoubo was their trip to mob but normal richtofen came back to help on gorod and revelations, why is this different and he dies and brings back a revelations richtofen who's time wont happen now since the future is changed. He shouldn't even exist now that richtofen had to die. It should just be the three now, they wrote themselves into a hole by abusing all this time travel as a plot device. Btw there was no loop, richtofen having to die to break loop is not true, brutus just broke their way out originally so their new way out was to get richtofen blood which summoned revelations richtofen somehow which where this goes downhill
Let me guess, the Victus crew wakes up, sees Richthofen in the machine, then another Richthofen in the eithur tells them how to revive him using the blood, then he wakes up to get revenge. Then rather the eithur gives him some power to be revived and our of rage he sends the victus crew to another dimension where the have to survive ( DLC ) orrrr he sends the victus crew to kill the revelations Richthofen and the rest of group 935. ( DLC )
The Greg Playz no we played as him in all of the maps. The difference here is the cycle broke. So gorod and rev don’t happen anymore timeline is now forever changed.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the same grey effect used on another zombies map? But when the power is turned on, the color reappears. Maybe (but unlikely) misty and the others wake up, turn on the power and safe Richthofen. Then again this is just wishful thinking
And also I bet the next dlcs would be like bo3 where each map they collect another person until they are all post rev characters and then somehow they either all get erased or Victis revives Richthofen which goes around reviving the left behind characters in each map maybe idk just a theory
For a second I thought the primis rictofen is the bad guy but he got the summoning key and shit so I just watched the second time and I see he's the good guy
Post-Zetsubou, broken cycle Richtofen had his heart in the right place but his plan only continued the cycle for a power hungry entity's petty war with another power hungry entity. Post-Revelations, previous cycle Richtofen knows the insurance policy is flawed and causes the cycle to repeat, thus the post-Zetsubou Richtofen must die in order to break it. Post-Revelations Richtofen remains because he drank the blood, becoming a living paradox. Post-Revelations Richtofen isn't evil, he trying to get the best ending by breaking the cycle and defeating Monty. The cycle is Monty's doing and it's not something we want, the Shadowman and Monty are both evil and wage this petty war for control every cycle.

I swear that it's easy to forget that this takes place during the zetsoubo end. Before gorod happens, but now the story changes and gorod and revelations never happens. But what I dont get is that in the normal story line where there is zetsoubo where they teleport then come back then move on to gorod then revelations, this all went smoothly. That teleport from zetsoubo was their trip to mob but normal richtofen came back to help on gorod and revelations, why is this different and he dies and brings back a revelations richtofen who's time wont happen now since the future is changed. He shouldn't even exist now that richtofen had to die. It should just be the three now, they wrote themselves into a hole by abusing all this time travel as a plot device. Btw there was no loop, richtofen having to die to break loop is not true, brutus just broke their way out originally so their new way out was to get richtofen blood which summoned revelations richtofen somehow which where this goes downhill

Let me guess, the Victus crew wakes up, sees Richthofen in the machine, then another Richthofen in the eithur tells them how to revive him using the blood, then he wakes up to get revenge.
Then rather the eithur gives him some power to be revived and our of rage he sends the victus crew to another dimension where the have to survive ( DLC ) orrrr he sends the victus crew to kill the revelations Richthofen and the rest of group 935. ( DLC )

The Greg Playz no we played as him in all of the maps. The difference here is the cycle broke. So gorod and rev don’t happen anymore timeline is now forever changed.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the same grey effect used on another zombies map? But when the power is turned on, the color reappears. Maybe (but unlikely) misty and the others wake up, turn on the power and safe Richthofen. Then again this is just wishful thinking

For a second I thought the primis rictofen is the bad guy but he got the summoning key and shit so I just watched the second time and I see he's the good guy

Post-Zetsubou, broken cycle Richtofen had his heart in the right place but his plan only continued the cycle for a power hungry entity's petty war with another power hungry entity. Post-Revelations, previous cycle Richtofen knows the insurance policy is flawed and causes the cycle to repeat, thus the post-Zetsubou Richtofen must die in order to break it. Post-Revelations Richtofen remains because he drank the blood, becoming a living paradox. Post-Revelations Richtofen isn't evil, he trying to get the best ending by breaking the cycle and defeating Monty. The cycle is Monty's doing and it's not something we want, the Shadowman and Monty are both evil and wage this petty war for control every cycle.
He may be gone but last gen richtofen is out there somewhere
