@@karunag5916 they won't die, they'll go extinct or become small in numbers which is a massive difference. Breeding them to enslave them is not doing them any favor, nor does it do nature any favors. Nature decides when it's time for a species to go and it has killed off more species than there are cells in your body. Imagine if this wasn't bulls but a rare race of humans instead. And people bred them to use them for violent sports while talking about how they're doing the race a favor by preventing their extinction.

Being vegan because of animal cruelty is a big bullshit, you should being vegan because you don’t want the animal to enter your body. If you stop eating animal, automatically you’ll also reduce the cruelty of animal in the world, it is not the other way around. The problem is when gamers don't give permission or understand that it is a game or praise or whatever you want to call it. Culture is not a justification to abuse anyone (human or animals). @@karunag5916 they were breaded in the first place. If people want cows they have to keep the bull around. Both are needed for reproduction. And why is only one method to keep a species alive? Aren't there compassionate methods? I don't even think it's necessary for a gruesome sport to justify to keep the bull alive. We are not worried about any other rare species of animals but cows and bull, isn't that just selfishness? Nah it's not justified to keep a species alive just for a cruel sport. If you ask the animal they care about themselves and their suffering not surviving as a species.

Wow. I am (correction, *was) a Sadhguru fan, really enjoyed listening to him and thought he was pretty wise. Thank you for helping me see what a fool he is. He could have handled this completely differently. Instead chose to defend animal abuse and came up with distractions and lame justifications instead of just confronting this issue with honesty. The bull is not a willing participant, it obvious and necessary in these "sports" that the bull is distressed and trying to break free. This is a cruel state to force on any feeling, living being. Bulls have died in relation to these activities. Humans choose to engage i sport and may acquire injuries as a result of their training or engagement that they willingly participate in, in their own chosen path to pursue greatness in sport. These are not comparable. The bull is not treated as an athlete, but an object. We don't have to harm any animals if our objective is to show respect. This is not an attack on a specific culture but a response to Sahdguru who, when faced with the challenge of these animal rights concerns, chose to dismiss and ignore the serious impacts.

I'm a practicing yogi and was a fan of Sadhguru, everything I've read from the pradipika to the yoga sutras he would preach. Then I see David Ramms bad mouthing him and I felt attacked too. But from that I've become more vocal as a vegan and I can't argue for sadhguru anymore. Fair play David.

As for vegans having vaccines, is an appeal to hypocrisy, because some do use vaccines and medicines that might involve animal exploitation doesn't mean we are ok with millions of animals being slaughtered for a chicken curry or a pig sandwich. We can, as practicably as possible, avoid animal abuse and exploitation. There are plenty of anti vaxxers out there who are vegan and non vegan too.

@@karunag5916 thank you for comments, I absolutely follow and take inspiration from Sadhguru and his knowledge of how the mind works, but he has been exposed on his thoughts on animal abuse and I feel I must take a stand on this issue because I am vegan. As for sports, if consenting adults want to put their health at risk it's up to them. I boxed for 15 years. But putting animals into a position where they have no control of the environment is just cruel. Tradition is no excuse for abuse.

Your unshakeable devotion to animals is truly inspiring. You've given me the opportunity to reconnect to my own source of love and compassion for all living things. I was born and raised in an Ashram in the US so I am very learned in yoga and meditation. The most essential teaching is that everything comes from the same source, the same expression of bliss and innocence. Animals are the most sacred expression of that principle and any true practitioner of yoga understands this on the most fundamental level. To someone with a pure heart animals naturally emit compassion and love in that person, and animals sense that and respond immediately. I saw footage of you looking at a chicken with such pure and unadulterated love, and it was in that moment that understood what drives you to do everything that you are doing. Sadhguru has made rare attainments in yoga, I can tell just by watching him, but it's obvious that all the attention has sidetracked him. You are entirely correct in saying that his lack of compassion towards animals speaks volumes.

I'm from place where jallikatu happens. It's like showing injuries in football match which happens rarely and its shown as the injury is the game itself. Without jallikatu we would lose lot bulls. The game in itself no way harms animals. But humans may get injuries. Without jallikattu like Sadhguru says we'll lose lot of bulls to slaughter house. We don't need bulls now as we have machines to replace them now. Jallikattu is one of the reason for keeping bulls alive in so many Village in Tamil Nadu.

I would love to go 100% vegan, David but the thing is that it is not very accessible to find so much vegan variety of foods here in Europe since the past century has made meat cheaper. On my part, I don't eat red meat (including any four legged animal). for quick picks, I only eat chicken and eggs. And even then mostly I try to cook myself whatever pulses I have. 😥

Aren't there compassionate methods? I don't even think it's necessary for a gruesome sport to justify to keep the bull alive. The bull is not a willing participant, it obvious and necessary in these "sports" that the bull is distressed and trying to break free. This is a cruel state to force on any feeling, living being. Bulls have died in relation to these activities. Humans choose to engage i sport and may acquire injuries as a result of their training or engagement that they willingly participate in, in their own chosen path to pursue greatness in sport. These are not comparable. The bull is not treated as an athlete, but an object. We don't have to harm any animals if our objective is to show respect. This is not an attack on a specific culture but a response to Sahdguru who, when faced with the challenge of these animal rights concerns, chose to dismiss and ignore the serious impacts.

I'm a practicing yogi and was a fan of Sadhguru, everything I've read from the pradipika to the yoga sutras he would preach. Then I see David Ramms bad mouthing him and I felt attacked too. But from that I've become more vocal as a vegan and I can't argue for sadhguru anymore. Fair play David.

As for vegans having vaccines, is an appeal to hypocrisy, because some do use vaccines and medicines that might involve animal exploitation doesn't mean we are ok with millions of animals being slaughtered for a chicken curry or a pig sandwich. We can, as practicably as possible, avoid animal abuse and exploitation. There are plenty of anti vaxxers out there who are vegan and non vegan too.

As for sports, if consenting adults want to put their health at risk it's up to them. I boxed for 15 years. But putting animals into a position where they have no control of the environment is just cruel. Tradition is no excuse for abuse.

I was born and raised in an Ashram in the US so I am very learned in yoga and meditation. The most essential teaching is that everything comes from the same source, the same expression of bliss and innocence. Animals are the most sacred expression of that principle and any true practitioner of yoga understands this on the most fundamental level. To someone with a pure heart animals naturally emit compassion and love in that person, and animals sense that and respond immediately. I saw footage of you looking at a chicken with such pure and unadulterated love, and it was in that moment that understood what drives you to do everything that you are doing. Sadhguru has made rare attainments in yoga, I can tell just by watching him, but it's obvious that all the attention has sidetracked him. You are entirely correct in saying that his lack of compassion towards animals speaks volumes.

I'm from place where jallikatu happens. It's like showing injuries in football match which happens rarely and its shown as the injury is the game itself. Without jallikatu we would lose lot bulls. The game in itself no way harms animals. But humans may get injuries. Without jallikattu like Sadhguru says we'll lose lot of bulls to slaughter house. We don't need bulls now as we have machines to replace them now. Jallikattu is one of the reason for keeping bulls alive in so many Village in Tamil Nadu.

I would love to go 100% vegan, David but the thing is that it is not very accessible to find so much vegan variety of foods here in Europe since the past century has made meat cheaper. On my part, I don't eat red meat (including any four legged animal). for quick picks, I only eat chicken and eggs. And even then mostly I try to cook myself whatever pulses I have. 😥
