  • What an eveniong to be afloat! Steve & I headed out on the kayaks to target codling using light tackle and lures. The big tides and strong currents made it a bt tricky and drifts were quick but the fish were there.

    My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!

      @@SlippyLimpets I’m struggling to get into any fish at the minute, it’s only been a couple of weeks, I’ve tried spinning with the razor claws, I’ve tried the Texas rig with white paddle tails. I’ve mostly been a carp angler, so in terms of type of line/strength I should be using for spinning I’m not too sure on, same with best surface lures for bass in that area. Any advice would be great.

    Hey Nathan, I was hoping you could recommend me a spinning rod, because long story short I used to own couple boats and have loads of 60g silver minnow lures that id like to make use of but cant seem to find a rod that has the capability to cast such a heavy lure and also need to get a spinning reel, would appreciate some advice on where I could potentionally find these to make use of the lures. Cheers pal and keep making awesome content. Tight lines!!

    • @SlippyLimpets
      @SlippyLimpets  Год назад +1

      Hey Jack, 60g is classed as pretty heavy, so there's not a huge amount of SW specific rods in the Uk, but there are plenty of Pike rods. The Sonic Vader X is great value, as is the Shakespeare Ugly Stick Spin, both at around 40 quid. If you want to spend a bit more then the Abu Tormentor or Nomura Gomeiken are worth a look. Reel wise, I love using the Daiwa BG series. I've got a BG Mag Sealed and BG MQ but the standard BG is brilliant reel for the money and almost bombproof. Hope this helps. Tight lines 👍🎣

      @robbieallan6522 Год назад

      I tried it Last year on a friend's boat and I was a nice way to trott along the coast at about half a mile an hour trailing side winder lures and after a great session I ended with the biggest Pollack of the day at 6lb on the nose and considering I'd averaged nothing under 2lb but not much over 4lb I was well chuffed and my m8 hooked up at the same time with another just under 6lb so a great end to a great day .

My question is do they sell a 2 man kayak for fishing? I've got a boat on a custom built trailer but I need a driving licence to launch and a good engine, I'd rather trade it in for a couple of kayaks o r a 2 man kayak so my dad can join me.
