    I'm always impressed with Audio Group Denmark!! Never heard a bad room they have done but I only get to Axpona. I've been impressed since those guys were with Raidho.

    Very nice video. I've been admiring those guys ever since I heard my first pair of Raidho's. Perfect imaging, so musical, yet lots of details. Those guys are the kings of engineering at most price points...

    This was also my favorite system at the show of course with really quite a few really close 2nd place finishers.

    Jay could you give the specifics of the boxes? what are the other components besides the X6's? Aavik boxes and Ansuz cabling, yes, but what specific make and model? Thanks!

    Good job! Nice interview and info. So glad to hear someone talk about sound as something other than constant sinewave, that we listen to transients! And how inductance messes with the phasing.

    Totally agree about the Audio Group Denmark stuff all around. That is one hell of a deal for $50k all in!

    After watching all of your CAF videos I really liked the YG Acoustics Carmel 3’s as well as the Denmark Group setup. The biggest disappointments were the omnidirectional setups. I also felt a little underwhelmed by the Vandersteen Quatro CT’s . I’m going to attribute that to room/setup as I’ve heard them sound damn good elsewhere

    • @daveclark9904
      @daveclark9904 Год назад +2

      The YG Carmels driven by Vinnie Rossi was killer; but so was, even better, the Scott Walker / Synergistic Research room with Estalons. IMO best-of-show.

    Nice vid, Jay. I’ve been seeing Borresen reviews of various models for 3 weeks now, from people whose opinions I’ve come to respect, and they’ve all been favorable. I’d love to hear a pair- any pair, just to check them out.

    Borreson x3 seems to be best value in high fi at the moment. Would love to hear and compare with other speakers in that price range. Tough competition in that price point.

      @2013brzsubaru do they need a lot power? I have a very neutral power amp. Specs.. 250 Watts x 2 into 8 Ohms, 500 Watts x 2 into 4 Ohms
      ~ First 12 Watts are Class A ~

      @@backrack01 250W with the first 12 in Class A should be a good fit. Treat the room fully and do some tweaking with the dac.

    Besides the speakers, what was in the rack? What does the complete system consist of for the $50K total - again system synergy is the key.

      @@dieselbrodeurCompletely understand however comparatively to some of the other equipment Jay has covered e.g $80k speaker cables, $300k speakers, $100k amplifiers, to me, yes more affordable and attainable. I will say hifi equipment prices seem to have increased exponentially over recent years. So many amplifiers now that you can buy now over a $100k. In years past they would have been an outlier now common place. Inflation doesn't explain it for me.

    I honestly felt that this system totally cannibalized their uber expensive system. The difference is not worth it. These speakers are awesome value. Though I’m not sure I feel the same about their electronics.

    Ok. It was the best room for 50K, 40K, 25K, 15K....So what the heck does that mean? 50k is still a ton of cash for an audio system. For 50K you should be able to put together a system that produces reference, world quality sound!!! Does reference quality sound sound more reference coming from a 100K system than it does coming from a 50K system, or a 25K system? Not to my ears. We're talking about pure "Sound" here. That's one of aspects of high end audio that's always disturbed me is how the "Sound" is always categorized/capsulized by it's price point, i,e, "sounds good for the money" or sounds great at it's price point." Reference level, world-class level sound quality is just that, regardless of price. We all know how possible it is for speakers, components, systems to perform way above their price points. Ok, so how does' this 50K systems sound compare to one of the 60k, or 100K systems you heard. This is why, in high end audio, I so strongly believe in "The Laws Of Diminishing Returns."

      ❌✅ Well it’s hard to compete against them , because they’re like Major League Baseball // they simply bought the best talent , Speakers , Cables , Electronics 👋😎‼️ SMART really, but Us DIY’ers can rival this to a degree , with Know how …10K will get you that sound , but then there’s the cosmetics that we don’t have , and the multi million dollar. machinery to bring it to market 👋🧐‼️

      Unfortunately, there is a sonic difference between rigs at different price points like there are with cars. Ferrari is better than Lexus, which is better than Toyota, etcetera. Same with yachts. Wishing price didn't make a difference doesn't make it so.
