For razor his shoes could be made of Wood and Leather since historically many ancient people DID carve shoes from wood.. and leather is just skin but like salted. There are ways to make leather yourself and he could totally do that!
Grandmaster Varka gave Razor clothes, Lisa education and elemtal mastery trails, Diluc gave Claymore training and first actual weapon. quite a few human teachers. For Noelle she just needs red switched with gold from armor at skirt, but yellow roses are Navia thing, so that's why Noelle got red i guess...

@@ajthewildwolf Please do research before doing redesigns so that your redesign works well with the character. That's a reason the og designs work well, they aren't just there because they look nice but they help imply things about the character. The designs are nice but they don't work too well with the characters due to the reasons I mentioned. You don't need to know every tidbit about the character and everything doesn't need to have a reason but you do need to know stuff like inspirations and a bit of backstory to make it work.

It takes so freaking long to make extremely researched videos and I have a weekly schedule to keep up with. I just wanted to turn off my brain and draw for once. Can I please just have that once? Can I please just have one video where I don't have to plan for weeks before I start it?

It's not up to me what you do I'm just saying the designs were contradictory to the characters. You don't even need to plan for weeks for a redesign, just a day or two of basic research would've been enough. If you're tired then spread out the upload frequency of your videos or just make videos that require little to no research where you can turn off your brain and draw. Again, I can't control what you do so do what you want.

Don't take the critique too hard - I think it's pretty clearly demonstrated that you do good work when you have a critical understanding of the character in question (Razor). I imagine if you read through all of Rosaria's character stories, you would feel just as comfortable with doing a revamp for her. I think my main takeaway from this video was you had a pretty keen idea for what to do with Razor, but maybe not so much with the others beyond a few things here or there that inspired you. Not judging, just throwing it out there. It's a fun video regardless. Rosaria is one of my favorite characters in the game, and I see a lot of people hiss about her being a nun yet looking far from it. If the vamp aesthetic, fishnets, clawed fingertips, and playing with a knife in her idle animation weren't any indicator, she's got a lot going on and very little of it is to do with the church. I think it's cool to have a character that ticks that box but isn't defined by it.. a nun in name only. She smokes in the back pews, sleeps through choir practice, and is walking the streets at night doing her real business. One thing I'd like to point out that I thought was interesting, is that I don't particularly think color-coding characters based on their element a very interesting design choice (this is not directed at you or your art, but at hoyoverse themselves). I really like seeing characters like Beidou or Kazuha, which do not strictly adhere to their element's color schemes. It's good to have variety in this regard, and Rosaria and Noelle I believe are no exception. Rosaria has an almost bloodied-looking color scheme in combination with her wine-colored hair and fishnets, and it stands out quite a bit across the entire cast. It's also quite fitting. Sure, she's a bit of an ice queen, but if you know her backstory her color palette is as justified as her unconventional goth-assassin nun design. Noelle too really benefits from the splash of color. She certainly doesn't look bad in a sepia wash, but I think your take on her would hold up just as well if you kept the tertiary red fanciful details in her outfit. Noelle is a fun character that has a lot of room for a redesign. She's a maid that desperately wants to be a knight, but her selflessness is so uncompromising that the knights keep her on maidly duties to prevent her from hurting herself to help others. She had even planned to take on the Mondstatd crisis in the early story all by herself, but was dissuaded by busywork given to her by Jean herself. She has some really fun character stories too you can discover for yourself if you haven't already. I rather like the idea of seeing what Noelle might look like if she were allowed to fully adopt a knightly persona. I like her battle-maid aesthetic, but I bet she'd look great in full rose-themed plate.

5:00 I've been thinking about this too, and I think it would be so cool! Not all heroes need superpowers (or visions) to be cool or heroic. Seeing how this game tells such amazing stories, I think it would not only make a cool and unique character, but also add more variety to the gameplay and still the writers would find a way to make it work because I don't think they sleep.

I really like these redesigns. If I were to redesign Noelle, I would lean heavier into the rose theme, due to her personal story of how the roses represent secrets she's keeping for people, as a maid. I really dig the Razor design. The canon design feels very much like Lisa(his teacher) tried to dress him, but he just takes off whatever he doesn't like. The belts always annoyed me, as when he hunts, wouldn't he want to wear stuff that has a less chance of making noise? XD
I actually just assumed Lisa gave his clothes to him 😭😭😭. Also if I gave him a fighting idea that isn't lightning it would be "pack of wolves" like in his burst there would be a pack of wolves that appears and attack the enemies
Understandable. I am also not a fan of the redesigns that aren't Razor. I just have to accept that I'm not always going to make a banger everytime. I was pretty tired when I made this video.
He's going to be my next hazbin hotel video for certain. I'm just really struggling with him. My hazbin hotel videos take the most amount of effort and I want to be extra super careful with Angel.

Sorry. I didn't know too much about her yet. The game is so big and I don't want any spoilers so I don't know very much about most of the characters.
