Mr. Ganpurev Dagvan is a music genius. He is the person who gave life to the ancient Turkic/Mongolian instrument, Altai Yatga. This beautiful instrument is in use in Mongolia at the moment. (Its ancient version was found in 2014 in Altai mountains buried in the Kurgan of a Gokturk nobleman.) He deserves great deal of respect. And also respect and love to the Altai band….. Long live Turkic - Mongolian fraternity !
But it was first discovered during archaeological excavations in Manhan sum, Khovd province, in 2008. And made its debut on May 16, 2014 publicly after Ganpurev's restoration.

the lovely lady playing Morin Khuur is called Sanchir and she is part of the Altai Band that I have been following for a while. The rest of the band: Aagii - standing in the back, male voice (my favourite!) Guree in the right, back, Balgan - in the left back, drummer and throat singer- M. Davaadalai, please correct me if I'm wrong or disrespectful in some way. I don't speak Mongolian (unfortunately), at one point I used google translate and I don't know if the Mongolian name comes before the patronymic or other way round. BTW guys you are great!
Thank you for these absolutely uplifting tones vocals. All of you have helped me reach a center of peace once again. Thank you! Peace and love to all.
