Hello, my iPhone 7 fell and now wifi does not work. When I reset network settings, wifi works for 30 minutes or so, but then disconnects. Sometimes the wifi option also greys out completely and I cannot toggle. Can you please suggest should I replacing the top left antenna or short range antenna?
Hello, many thanks for your videos. I have a question. I have changed all wifi antenas because I can't receive a good signal if I'm not next to the router. finally my last attempt is change short range antena. Could you explain me difference between short range and large range ? I don't know if my iPhone 7 has any solution. Thanks, sorry, my English is very bad.
Technically speaking the wifi antenna on the top left consists of two parts, the black cover (the main wifi antenna it self) and the antenna chip underneath. According to what you are asking i'm assuming you changed both and nothing has improved so now just swap out the short range antenna (also referred to as a wifi diversity antenna) and let us know if it improves the signal. I believe the diversity antenna is the most important one as it is most active in a short range situation.
If i replace both .. will my wifi can on again? And what will hapen if i dont have wifi anthena ? Cannot on or what because my wifi is grey out .. cnnot open wifi ..
If your wifi is grayed out then there is an issue with the antenna connection or the wifi chip on the logicboard. The only thing you can do without component leven repair which is next to imposiblle is to replace both wifi antennas. They are cheap and if you follow the instructions in the video you should be able to replace the without an issue.
