"This is a protest. In hopes to give this new generation a revolution in the form of an anthem. We are all on the verge of waking up and truly understanding that people should not be afraid of their government, government should be afraid of their people. This is how we feel about the current state of America. We are the new era, United we stand, in search of retribution for those who have been wronged.
We are tired of seeing innocent people being gunned down so unbelievably often and still there is no change. How many more innocent people have to die for change to happen? Government and the news share no sort of resolve or actions of change for these problems. This is why we have chosen to donate proceeds from the single sales to Giffords and March For Our Lives who are on the front line, fighting to tackle the gun violence epidemic our nation currently faces. We encourage our fans to take a look at the incredible work they do and either purchase the single, donate directly or learn how to get involved at Giffords.org and MarchForOurLives.com
We put forth our creative anger to depict the current state of our civilization. Our protest song is titled 'Massacre, The New American Dream'. It speaks to the fact that there seems to be more kids growing up to become famous for school shootings than famous for anything else in America. “In every Church, School and Synagogue, Virginia to Littleton when will it stop?”. We asked ourselves this question each time we see yet another mass shooting broadcasted across our TVs. There is a shadow that looms over this generation, “What is the New American Dream?” To our understanding, “It’s a Massacre” but if we unite and work together, we can be the difference!"

MASSACRE, THE NEW AMERICAN DREAM // LYRICS
(Come on) all you killers on your killing sprees
(Come on) A massacre's the new American dream
(Come on) And all the kids on the murder scene
A massacre, the new American dream
Fed lies since the day I was conceived
A bastard son, a rebel, now look at me
Went from homeless to your TV screen
How's this for the American dream?
Feed pills to society
Give you a gun now there's a killing spree
I’ve given up on America’s racist agenda
I'm fucked up from prescriptions and antidepressants
Massacre
Generation Y, Generation why are we
Why are we so casual bout these casualties?
(Come on) all you killers on your killing sprees
(Come on) A massacre's the new American dream
(Come on) And all the kids on the murder scene
A massacre, the new American dream
In every church, school, and synagogue
Virginia to Littleton, when it will stop?
Turn on the tv, a nightmare or dream?
On every station massacre's all I see
Massacre
Generation Y, Generation why are we
Why are we so casual bout these casualties?
(Come on) all you killers on your killing sprees
(Come on) A massacre's the new American dream
(Come on) And all the kids on the murder scene
A massacre, the new American dream
I've had enough of prescriptions and antidepressants
I’ve had enough of you giving your people some weapons
Massacre
(Come on) all you killers on your killing sprees
(Come on) A massacre's the new American dream
(Come on) And all the kids on the murder scene
A massacre, the new American dream

"Generation Y, Generation why are we so casual about these casualties" idk why but that line really speaks to me. It's probably one of the deepest lyrics I've heard in a Palaye Royale song
That line hits so hard every time I hear it, and it's a question that really does need to be asked. It breaks my heart.
favorite lyric in this song hands down.
Generation Y is millennials. Gen Z (looking at your picture, I'd guess gen z is your generation). My generation is X, the forgotten generation. In between the boomers and the millennials. Just pointing this out.
@@sonyabowles2149 millennial start in the year 2000, im from generation Y im 30 born in 1989 millennials are way younger than me...It, not the same generation people start to put it together because they can bother to make the distinction. it is 2 different generations. with a different mindset...Millennials are very PC compared to mine with very different ideologies.
@@funnygaming2672 Millenials don't start in 2000. Gen Z start anywhere between, 1996-2000. That's when Millenials end
This band is actually trying make a revolution through their music instead of telling us drugs and shit are cool like they're trying to make a change and that is honestly so great that they're trying to educate people on actual issues that are happening in the world

I’m from El Paso, Texas, a city where the tragedy of loosing 22 of our good people took place. I was born and raised here for the past 21 years. My brothers and sister lived here before me and attended elementary - high school here. Never in this cities history has anything that terrifying happened, and we live right on the border of what used to be one of the most dangerous cities in the world. This community is filled with peaceful and powerful people. All kinds of different religions, races, and faces uniting in a place we call home. We haven’t stayed silent since the shooting took place and we don’t plan on some outsider keeping us afraid. We re-opened the location it took place in with a memorial to honor those who were taken from us too soon, to show the world that this event will never change our ranking as the safest city in the country. We’ve been given that honor 3 years in a row now, with a new title as the best city to raise a family. Thank you Sebastian, Remington, Emerson, and Daniel, for including us in raising the awareness to finally end the disgrace of this government.

Palaye executed this music video perfectly. Instead of it being just them they add headlines of gun violence to show how prominent gun violence is in the US. If the boys keep putting out videos like this they’re gonna become the next biggest band. #StopGunViolence

This video is what my anxiety looks like
I am part of both the 60% of teens with depression and 80% of teens with anxiety.
I'm part of the group of adults that were diagnosed with mental issues and had pills shoved at me as a teenager. It's never a quick fix.
you know damn well why you're here in summer 2020
I love how Palaye Royale took their platform and put it to use, spreading awareness and prompting action to end violence. I applaud you, not that you need my applause but because this is worthy of applause, on this amazing song. Also can I mention just how friggin *hot* Remington is? I'm just dead.
This song is perfect for whats going on in the world right now, all these protests and just heartbreaking things #justiceforGeorgeFloyd

Hang in there and stay safe, okay? ❤
The EMO Vampire GUN VIOLENCE IS THE NUMBER ONE REASON I AM TERRIFIED OF GOING TO HIGH SCHOOL!! WHY CANT PEOPLE CONTROL THEMSELVES
xXBlack_RoseXx I’m sorry. I live in Australia and trying to watch what’s happening in your country is so heartbreaking. Something like twice a week I get home from school and there’s been another school shooting somewhere in America. School Shootings are so common people of any authority don’t even blink an eye anymore, despite the international coverage. Honestly sometimes it’s easier to pretend the world is all sunshine and oranges, but at some point ignorance always comes round to bite you. I can say whole heartedly from the other side of the world that my whole school has stood time and time again in silence to remember these KIDS. We can only hope that these deaths aren’t meaningless; that some change or sense of morality or even the solidarity we now have continues or arises from these tragedies.
As an atheist I can’t say God Bless, but I can tell you that no one dies in vain, and every soul, whether they know it or not, had or has an impact on another, in life or death, and that stands for something. So please if this can say anything, I want you to know no classmate, friend, sister or brother, is ever, ever deserving of having their life cut short like this. And whether it’s acknowledged by the President or not, here on the other side of the world we’re thinking about you, putting together our voices and our money in an attempt to protect those who can’t protect themselves and needn’t have to.
Idk if anyone’s still reading but I mean this with all my heart, good luck.
Jamié
@@gremlinrat6524 May I ask why you are so determined to keep guns on the streets, knowing that they could so easily get into the hands of children coming and going from school? Even putting the children aside, having them readily available just makes it easier for people who intend to harm others to do so. No disrespect, but I would like to know what your thoughts are
@@jamie2167 gun are bad that's the problem i was trying to say there should be More laws to prevent this from happening not only do my family believe in god they are veterans that served for a country as for the Army Airforce Marines and Military my family do not believe in gun violence but they do believe that having a weapon in your home is safe to protect your family. What i want is to stop guns from being made but we should still have a way of protecting ourselves and are family's you may not understand but over here in the city i live in There robberies that turn into homicides I believe guns should be removed but we should have some sort of protection for our selfs i was not promoting that they necessarily have to be guns but some sort of protection.......I know this is all over the place but try to see where im coming from and if you still disagree well i say im saying dis I agree to disagree

Remington isn't on hard drugs I guess so he is better at singing... Just pointing out, don't wanna sound hateful. I love Sex Pistols but even members said that Sid couldn't even play bass much and could sing just a little bit when he wasn't smacked.

Anyone else think this should be our Revolution Anthem?

100%
The beginning LITERALLY gave me chills. I have never EVER had a reaction to a video like I did just there. Amazing.
The music: *hardcore an emo*
Them irl: We're comming out with a new glitter palette!
This song is such an interesting piece of artwork, and I truly believe for what it says. There’s too much bloodshed, and nothing’s being done about it.
This is slightly off topic, but my own sister was accused for being the next school shooter. Why? Because she stayed away from her classmates. Didn’t talk to anyone. That was our school’s justification for expelling her. I know my sister better than anyone else, I know for a fact she would never even think about something like that. She would be one of the people who would put their life aside to protect anyone else. She didn’t talk to anyone because they bullied her. If something happened to that school, I know for a fact she would try and protect even the people who mentally abused her.
I’m tired of just seeing bloodshed. It needs to be over.
F..king Bullies i used to be bullied in Grammer school it built up on this one dude i freaked out and finally let him have it . He then stopped and tried so hard to be my friend . from that day on no one messed with me ever again💀
I got Lonely as an ad, I just realized how different the songs are
Generation Y
Generation, why are we
Why are we so casual
About these casualties...
This is a Protest.
Your government has failed you. We wish to restore which once was right, to right which has been perverted. We come from a place which values above all an education of the people, an education of the wrongs enforced upon society. As a society, we must hold true to our inner morals and seek what we see to be good. Stand with us and join the rebellion. Join the movement. Love the void.

in the past few days I have watched this video more times than I'd like to admit I cannot get over how fucking good the editing is like holy fuck
condolences to the to the victims killed by the recent shooting in Texas, may they rest in peace
i cant breath please we need peaceful unity
This video moved me so much more than I expected it to. It truly breaks my heart to see videos of people running in fear because they aren't safe in their own community. I hope I witness the end of these atrocities in my life time.
"I've had enough of you giving your people some weapons"
It's 2024 and this is STILL one of my very favorites of all of their songs. Freaking . Awesome.

I got an ad of the entire music video for anxiety before this...
I think youtube wants me to listen to anxiety first
This really helps me, I’m glad you guys made a song about this. Normally people wouldn’t really care about this shit, but you guys actually care. And that gives me the confidence that I’m actually listening to people that care about their fans and not only care about their fashion. I’m so pleased to have you guys around and life would suck without people like you and I am just so so happy you guys are a band, and I’ve been going through a lot right now, but you guys are helping me. Thank you💘
This is so fucking good. Who’s doing it like Palaye? No one. These guys are using their platform to bring light to an important topic that so many people are afraid to talk about because of the controversy. I love this, I love them. The real inspirations of our generation. Thank you, Palaye. You’re doing fucking amazing.
When he talks about this, it gives some people the thinking “why does he care so much?” Well, it’s because he’s a good person, he’s confident, and he’s caring. So if you wanna judge him for this, then you can just stop listening to him! If your gonna sit here and make fun of him for this, then you obviously don’t have a good tase in music, no effence, I’m just making a point.
I know but do you know what your talking about

Genuinely think I just found my new fav mv ever, sorry I’m not okay by MCR
one reason why I love you guys so much, is your ability to give me a positive and moving sensory overload. I am very sensitive to light and sound so things can be sort of tough and unbearable on that when I am stressed, but the sensory aspects of your videos really calm me down and ease my stomach and mind
I’m new to Palaye and, to say the least, I’m in love with this music. Life changing.

I love how they put El Paso in the video(I liver there) it was always a safe an. Peaceful city, and after the shooting it feels as if we're always scared to go anywhere just because of one persons doings. Fear shouldn't over take us and we should do something about it!!!
ROYALE FAMILY FOREVER!!!!
Before the video I got an ad.. for Palaye Royale. Good job RUclips.
I have a headache now but it doesn't matter that song is a bop
Thank you so much for making this, Palaye Royale. I’ve had many shootings near my area, and one even in my town. (Thousand Oaks, Borderline.) It is sad how many times I’ve had to comfort friends and neighbors that have lost people to shootings. I’m tired of learning how to make barricades from desks at school to hide behind in case of shootings. It’s just sad. Thanks for making a difference! ❤️🖤❤️
Last time I was here I was scared about what was happening in America now I’m thinking about all the protests in a near my country ( uk )
I am also from the uk and same i am from the north west a place thats been forgotten about during the pandemic. Under govement in power right now over here the political climent does not look to good, i am disabled and bisexual and the fact we have disabled mp in house parliament and the lgbt advisory bord as been dismissed here in the uk makes me worried as fuck. We going backward in rights not forwards.
THIS NEEDS MORE VIEWS. So many more people need to see this.
I’ve never been more proud of these guys!!! Thank you for speaking up about this issue and taking a step to make our world safer. So many people have the power to talk about the tragedy in our nation right now and choose not to. There needs to be a change for human kind, there’s no way to justify so many innocent lives being lost to guns and overall violence. This is song shows the brutally honest reality of today with amazing visuals 👏👏This video is amazing and I really hope to see you guys in 2020 🖤
Guns aren't the problem. Prove me wrong
It might be unhealthy how many times I've listened to this song this week
Не могу прекратить слушать эту песню. Красавчики пацаны

I seriously love how Palaye Royale makes their songs about the reality of the world even if it’s not acceptable to others
I'm lucky because I know this band. Without it, I would be dead. Thanks Palaye, you guys are my heroes.
Holy hell. Have this on repeat. This is the kind of thing that starts revolutions. Keep up the amazing work boys!
This song hits hard af, with the riots from a few months ago, Corona virus, shootings, the recent date of 9/11 and just so many flicked up things in the world. I've been legit blaring this 24/7 these days
It is a great song. In your opinion, are Joe Biden and his VP making things better? I'm curious since you edited this seven months ago. Best wishes, my dear.
this should have 100M views because holy hell not only is the song good but the message is strong!
This song is not only fire 🔥 but it carries a very important message about the current gun crisis. I think that music is a great way to get the news out and heard, to get people to understand not just because it’s happening in tv doesn’t mean it’s not real. It is and can or will end up effect everyone in one way or another. I hope this song helps to achieve its goal in informing the people and helps them to understand it and do something to stop it . This needs to stop before anymore innocent lives are taken.
The clips of everyone running out of schools and buildings absolutely makes my stomach curl and wrench.
I'm a pretty tolerable person, not a lot of things make my stomach churn- but this gives me this sort of feeling. It just just builds up in your throat, gets caught, and sort of...prickles at your tear ducts.
These guys make music like no one else these days and I'm loving it. They have a real throwback sound and encapsulate a vintage classic rock vibe but with all of the angst of the modern era. It's sick they got to tour with Zombie and Manson
love this bandddd
i literally can’t believe this has so little views??? it deserves sooo much more attention
I'm glad you guys were able to speak up about this. It's a real issue we're facing and I think most people are sick of all the violence by now.
It's sad you know. We're not allowed to have backpacks at my school so there is no chance of someone sneaking in a gun. I remember going to school and hearing about Stoneman-Douglas and we were in the cafeteria and for the first time the entire place went dead quiet. I remember being in my class and then being thrown into a supply closet during a lockdown because some kid brought of a knife to school. My ex bestfriend threatened to shoot up the school. It's scary not being safe at a place that should be safe from harm. The world is going to shit and we need to step up and do something
this is so POWERFUL. as people who have to constantly see these tragedies on the news and nothing never gets done about it, this is one of the best ways to give EVERYONE without a platform a voice about these fucked up occurrences and laws.
My chem would be so lucky to have you guys on tours.
This hits home for multiple reasons:
Just recently, the opposing party was elected into office. As a young person raised in an open home, I see things differently. I am morally liberal but as far as the financial wellbeing of the country goes, I'm republican. However, as Communism seems to get nearer and nearer, I feel oddly safe. One day, although it may not be soon, all of us are going to wake up and see what the heck happened. If the government asks our Military and Police to take away our guns, although they may feel conflicted, they won't do it. Taking away our guns will only stop law-abiding citizens, it won't stop criminals. The military and Police are neutral enough to choose a side based off of the current state. As a member of this community and so many more, I am glad to see the changes starting to happen in our generation. And having Palaye as role models makes it easier. In an attempt to irradicate racism, I invite all of you to check the 'Other' box on all forms when asking for the race, and when it asks you to fill out what race you are, wright 'Human'. (Only do this on non-medical forms, please.)
