Girl, that happened to my nail last October. The whole nail was damaged, fell off. I have half a nail now. I keep it bandaged, and keep the other ones done, but very short. I tried to get dip & acrylic done on it, it damaged it again. So I told myself to keep it wrapped up when I’m out, until it’s completely grown back in.
Hey Raven, why don’t you try press on nails. I messed up my nails really bad from wearing acrylic nails and I stopped getting them done. I started wearing press on nails and they have changed my life. You can get the press on nails customized as well.
that’s a great recommendation. How do you remove them ?
@@Candicedickinsonllc with press on nails, you can either glue them or use sticky tabs. I soak mine in water, when I am ready to take them off and they will pop right off, with no damage to my natural nails.

For your nail… you got to clip off the nail as it grows out. Do not take the acrylic nail off until you almost have a full nail. I had this happen to me a while ago and it takes a while for it to reattach. You can also use gauze and tap so your skin can breath as well.
Babyyyyyyy that nail thing is no joke! Happened to me in March and it was the most painful thing ever in life. It’s still in the process of growing back. Mine came out from the root as well. It’ll grow back!! Just keep it wrapped up and clean!

When I was young, I slammed a car door on my nail, which hurt like hell. A few days later the nail completely fell off and I was just left with a finger with a hole/indent where the nail used to be; it looked strange! But yeah it took forever for the nail to grow completely back.

instead of nail polish remover if u forget to protect ur skin when dying ur hair, definitely use rubbing alcohol! a little safer on ur skin & can also help remove the dye off of countertops

The Delta varient can have no fever and mild symptoms. So ANY time you have even one symptom, go get a test. I had 6 people at my job with mild symptoms from Delta & one of them was vaccinated too. Took 10 days for the symptoms to show up and become positive after becoming exposed to someone who had it.
This is great advice. I’d like to add: if you’re waiting for test results or have any doubts of having COVID, stay home/ don’t send your child to school. It would be a shame if the results came back positive and have been around a bunch of people.

OUCH! That’s what happened to my hubby’s fingernail at work. It was hanging too…. Fast-forward 6-8 months later… it grew back as if it never was traumatized. Once that old nail falls off, the new nail will initially look weird and maybe discolored but it will grow.
