A better solution is using counter torque, just have a second wheel spinning in the opposite direction of the first wheel and it would go straight.

I have a theory to why they aren't updating. If you go to the video called THEY MADE A WORKING BUILDING ROBOT in build a boat reddit, and you go to 1:11, Jesse days the Dev team is going to do an update that would change the game forever. What I think the update is, they are going to revamp the entire game. The stages, map, build plot, all of that. Except for the items of course.

The reason it goes sideways is because of the wheel is rotating in that direction so it makes it go that way

Ok but like the reason you were turning left is because there's torque being produced in only one direction and that produces counter-torque due to Newton's third law that any action is accompanied by an equal and opposite reaction
A good fix would be to, instead of overcompensating, add another wheel on the opposite side of the rocket, not attached to anything besides the rocket, that spins exactly as fast and with as much torque as the other wheel, but spinning in the opposite direction, producing torque that cancels out with the other wheel's torque

Your flying device is going left because the platform that is spinning really fast acts like a gyroscope and gyroscopes always want to have an equal force acted on them.

I have one that goes straight and you can steer it, it has a platform moderately high then a large parachute and a red thruster, attach yourself with a cake then activate the thruster and parachute and I always make it to the end
