XG never miss. They get better and better every time. And yes, that was Maya! The first rap section starts with Coco, then Jurin then Harvey and finishes with Maya. After the first rap section it flows into the pre-chorus with Juria then Hinata and ends with Chisa. The second rap section starts with Jurin then Harvey then Maya and finishes with Coco. I love how they distribute the lines and make sure everyone gets their shine not just in each song but in every era I feel like a different member gets time to have the spotlight. The thing that moves me so much with XG is that you can CLEARLY see the vision they have. The energy is overwhelming in their artistry. Something about their music makes you feel their love for being singers and performers and it makes you feel that connection they all have where they all WANT this really badly and they know exactly what the plan is and how they're gonna get where they wanna be. I don't doubt for a second that XG is just going to continue to grow exponentially more over the next 5 years especially. And yeh, the basic concept is that XG are pretending to be the "bots" that have taken over whatever planet they are on but really, they are there to take over and free the planet. They have a lot of nature goddess imagery which really reminds me of the Studio Ghibli movie Princess Mononoke which is an animated film by famous Japanese animator, filmmaker, and manga artist, Hayao Miyazaki.
I am 100% sure that XG decided to pay homage to Miyazaki Hayao San, and Studio Ghibli in this video, I bet they had a meeting and talked about where they have seen wolves in their lives, and Mononoke hime (Princess Mononoke) is full of white female wolves. Mononoke Princess is about a young woman of the forest that fights to protect the balance of nature from the destruction of mankind. Throughout the video Jurin represents Mononoke hime. The QR code (invented in japan) is dissolved and Mononoke Princess (nature princess) is revealed underneath. The brown monsters with red eyes are also represented in the anime. The dragon in front of the full moon might be from Spirited Away, dragons in japan are believed to be the benefactors and protectors of mankind. In old Japan there was a belief that the souls of people alive or dead could take the form of a butterfly. Therefore any butterfly that entered a house was treated respectfully. Mermaids are actually also a japanese thing within shinto folklore a creature called Ningyo is a person with half human half fish. They represent harmony. The mermaid idea in Japan might stem from early books imported from Holland, about european sailors seeing mermaids at sea. In the end, the nature princess touches the ground and everything turns green and full of flours, In the anime Mononoke hime the huge deer spirit of the forest does the exact same thing, everything it touched blooms.
