The power pod has heating coils on the underside. There are 4 cooking modes to choose from -bake, air fry, re-crisp for leftovers and max crisp for frozen foods. Press the mode button and set the time using the plus and minus buttons. The containers have fixed heat safe feet so you can set it on any type of countertop. It’s not removable for cleaning. They also have sturdy handles and you should use oven mitts. All the parts can stack inside the large container for storage so the whole unit takes up very little counter space.
