During the Feast of Tabernacles they would light 75 ft tall menorahs in the Temple Court. The light in the Temple court was so bright all of Jerusalem was lit up at night. This was to commemorate the Israelites being guided by a pillar of fire by night. When the feast ended and the light at the Temple was extinguished, that's when Jesus said He was the light of the world. He was claiming that the pillar of fire in the Exodus and the light burning at the Temple all pointed to Him, the one true light.

In prayer for you, giving thanks for the grace upon you for employment, that what God allows to happen to us be only for his Glory, so when we do these things in Jesus name, we feel no burden from these tasks, these means to live in this world, but with Christ, we know we do not have to toil. We must be as the lilies of the field as he spoke of in Matthew 6:28...in Jesus name we pray , Amen.
God appreciates our love. There is at least a spark of God in every sentient being. Some people act to snuff it out. Others fan the fire of the divine within their soul. Every action has an equal reaction. And the Creator, whatever you want to call this Great Force, whether you call this God, Allah, ha-Shem (the Holy Name), does appreciate when we show kindness or compassion to another being.
