今回はバーレイ、エマブリッジウォーター、ウエッジウッドの王道3箇所を巡り、英国陶器を堪能🇬🇧
ファクトリーショップでは、絵付けに失敗したものや、欠けているものが販売されているのですが、全く気にならないものばかり。

I very much enjoyed visiting the town and share the same view as what you say about losing traditional handicrafts which is also the case in Japan.
2:24 If you see an English person do this in a cafe or restaurant, they are probably from Stoke on Trent. We cannot help ourselves from checking who made the cups, bowls and plates.

We Japanese also do the same when we encounter nice dishwares like Arita, Mashiko, Kutani etc lol.

こんにちは。陶器好きです。破綻する前のウエッジウッドやスポードを訪問したことがあります。今はウエッジウッドは北欧フィンランドのフィスカース社の傘下に入っていますし、ロイヤルを冠した「ロイヤルドルトン」も同じく同じ会社の傘下に入って製造しています。なので、イッタラなども傘下にあるので北欧の陶器・ガラス器も販売されているのですね。

コロナ前にはこのエリアにウエッジウッドとロイヤルダルトンのアウトレットストアが別にあったようですが、そちらは閉店になってしまったようです。
イッタラも大好きなので、定期的にチェックして気に入ったものがあれば次回は是非購入したいです😊
Most of my family have lived in stoke and I have all my life. We used to make Prattware but we lost the factory sadly. My mother also used to work at the banks painting the meticulous art as well. Best days of her life she said before they shut all the factories down :/ Now Stoke is basically a ghost town with the small reminiscence of the industry still standing. I appreciate the video you made of our City :)

I had a great time in Stock-on-Trent, you must be very proud of yourself born and raised here☺️
If you are from Stoke, you are known as a plate turner. The city has lost its heartbeat as the once great industry has almost disappeared. The towns are rundown, and small businesses are struggling to survive as the foot flow of people from the pot banks (who used to spend there money in them most lunchtimes )are no more.😢
One happy news to share with you is that Burleigh recently got into one of the most popular newspapers in Japan and was introduced as the brand becoming very popular in Japan over the years.
Needless to say Wedgwood is the most well known British dishware brand💕
