In the old days we use to shovel it out in the mornings 10am until 5pm the cow shed and the chicken shed at weekends at the special unit I was in Worcestershire West Midlands
Hi Wendy, Yes, the cow muck gets put into a pile to rot down before we can spread it on the field. I live close by so i can go to the toilet in my house! 😀
You earned your pay on that job!! Hope the wind was blowing to knock the smell down While you worked😂Glad you were able to get the machine in to get most of it and not have to fork it all out by hand , what do you do with it after you have it all out? Spread it on the fields? Thanks for sharing your work day Brandon! ✅
Thanks 👍. The smell wasn't too bad so the wind must have been going the opposite direction! We usually pile it up out the way in one of the fields, and when the weather is better/drier we will use the muck spreader to put it on the silage fields. They did some muck spreading on the other farm a couple of days ago when everything was frozen.
The weight rating on that manitou must be shite. We wur takin more out on a dung fork on wur case 4230😂 and I would of had me erse kicked from county to county if I was takin that small a load oot at a time especially with a grapple on the bucket
Yeah, the back end kept lifting up so I think its a bit small for doing the mucking out with the fork grab. The other forklift we have is a lot heavier and up for the job.
It's quite tight in places using the Manitou but we managed fine thanks. We ended up using the bucket which seemed to work better than the fork grab. I think the next forklift that the farm buys might be a Merlo
call me weird but love mucking out videos, lol. Great video, looking forward to part 2.
Not weird at all. Thanks!
@@brandonsfarminglife2367 Bet they'll be really excited when they see it all cleaned out and fresh straw
Good video bud 👍👍

Thanks Max

I wouldn’t want to shovel a whole cow shed by hand! When we do then hen shed about 50% of that has to be done by hand, which is not fun!
Another well put together video. Would love to know what you think of my mucking out video.
Thanks 👍 Yes, i watched that video before- i think i replied back to you before about it.
Will you be dumping near the field where it will be spread after rotting down?
Ha ha not you the cow muck!
