    It's a watershed lake it goes up and down every year. It just drains faster because we aren't building reservoirs to keep up with population growth

    May have bought us some time, but there's still massive changes that have to go on in agriculture and development in the West This has been coming about after decades of poor land and water management. You cant keep building massive housing developments and growing stuff in a desert, just doesn't make sense. Stuff like getting rid of green yards, limiting the size of swimming pools, is small stuff when you look at the really big water users. But we all want cheap food.

    That's a huge increase of water. Oroville is one of the bigger reservoirs that California has. Hopefully we can get another good soaking of rain before spring ends.

    Is this not where the Oroville dam collapsed and sent all the water out? Meaning state negligence was the reason for the lack of water? And not the "drought"

      Some water was sent out but it wasn't close to being empty. You would have heard on the news about the catastrophic flooding that would have happen if Oroville had emptied out. Your comment shows how news can get distorted by the time it reaches some people.

    Southern California is turning into a desert. Just accept it and move on. Look at your neighbor Phoenix as an example of how you can have an extremely high value area and property while maintaining a luxury lifestyle.
