Yeah, Leclerc's race was basically over by turn 3. Got pinched and had nowhere to go, got some damage, and that was all she wrote. I swear Leclerc is the most unlucky driver in F1 history. It's just ridiculous and such a damn shame.

all this could have been avoided if the stewards gave lando the 5 seconds when they should have, but just like in 2021 they wanted the battle.
It could have been avoided if they had of warned max about moving under breaking on previous laps

@@JackHarb89 max already set the precedent in 2019 at Austria against Charles that you can hit another car and push them off the track and keep the place and win. It’s ok when Max does something, but if anyone else does it, it’s a penalty. Why is it “hard racing” when max dives another driver, but reckless when anyone else tries it?
All of this could have been avoided if crashstappen didn’t turn into a car going straight…

I almost got heart attack multiple times watching this grand prix and i wasnt even doing it live. That race was wild, it will go down in history as iconic
The more I rewatch the battle, the more I think the only bad/dangerous move was the very first one into turn 3. Every other was hard racing and I absolutely want to see more of it in the future (including Landos divebomb). If not for the unfortunate puncture, we would discuss how great the battle was.

Last week after putting Max three feet onto the grass: "Plenty of space" - Lando Norris
Jep, Even as a Max fan I will say Max was at fault for the contact, and the penalty was correct but it was avoidable for Lando. But just like max's divebombs are dangerous and lando's are great attempts. Still too many double standards from too many people.
Yeah... landos getting really unlikable, he had his fair share to play in this accident and he said "I did nothing wrong" which is horsecrap

@@pnwwags1818how did he have much of a role in the accident himself. Don’t get me wrong he has not being a great driver and was driving angry. But lando legitimately had no where to go except off the track for the accident. They were parallel and lando didn’t turn towards verstappen at all and they touched. So someone turned and someone has a history and had a rule created because they kept braking and turning in front of people
@johndoe39322 he should have gone off track, it'd very likely have gotten max a penalty and it's just best practice to avoid and accident like when max avoided landos angry bombings, it's a racing incident because both drivers were heavily at fault and when Lando pulled up Max's eyes were straight on the apex. It's touchy but Lando should have and could have avoided the collision

This was such a battle to watch yet so heartbreaking seeing lando’s possible win get ended like that and seeing it in person only made it even worst.

Love this, but it would be so great to add a lap counter or timer (even better), so watching a replay we can watch along with the exact reactions and timings.
Lando breaking track limits to catch up should be talked about a bit more he was in a position he shouldn't have been in. Max had a 1 second gap then Lando broke limits and was behind in DRS.
Well that would have been one of his warnings for breaking track limits that ultimately ended up in a 5 second penalty.. what more should be said?
@@patrickwhite4449 he was in a position that he shouldn't have been in. Was my point there. The crash is still Max's fault. He expected Lando to just back out and that's not okay

Even Max could’ve done it, what are you complaining about. Like as if he cut a corner and gained 2s on Max, it was like 0.01s at most.
