The quality from TRC is outstanding, the fit and finish is perfekt of all the knives I own from TRC (Apocalypse, Mille Cuori, South Pole, Pohlheim and Classic Freedom Full Flat). The South Pole is my favorite knife from TRC and my most used EDC fixed blade. I own four South Pole, the old with screwed handle scales, the Apo Finish, the 10th Anniversary and the V4E DLC.
Great review :) I love my South pole knife! It does so much so well and the Elmax steel gives me a lot of confidence even if I’m rough with it. Still looks new after a lot of abuse. I would love to see a leather sheath for it though.
I've been a knive collector for 20 yrs-the TRC South Pole is my current EDC. It's one of the few fixed blades I have not needed to do anything to. Straight out of the box it went on my belt and that's where it's stayed. I did remove the nylon belt loops and put a Teklok on it so it carries very nice without alarming people. Like you mentioned, it's one of the few fixed blades that are as close to custom made as a real life custom knife. While not cheap, I do feel I got my money's worth! To me it's disappointing that the knife community has not flocked to buy this knife. I guess it's been out awhile now so maybe the market has been satisfied. Still, I have absolutely NO qualms about having this as my EDC. Thanks for a good review of it.
@@phantiensi8233These are mid-techs. They pretty much are customs since they're individually heat-treated, numbered, and dated. Additionally, they're all hand-ground and hand-finished for almost every step of construction except the handle scales and blade blanks, which are CNC cut.
Awesome video. Subscribed!

For $300 range people will buy a custom knife, normally.
(I also have a South Pole)
