That goumier is just perfect....can't imagine doing a full squad though! Your stuff always reminds me that I really need to get on with my 14th army stuff! Just need to find kukris from somewhere...
Love the Afrika Corps soldier the most. But that technique where you changed the Blitzkrieg German soldier, from a kneeling to a "heroic" standing pose, was really creative. A pose change like that I will definitely try in my own army, to give it more variation. Thanks for the awesome series, already can't wait for the next one!
Those all look great, but you forgot to change the boots on the US Paratrooper from M1943 “two buckle” boots to the earlier jump boots. The Warlord US Paratrooper kit is so great for kitbashing since the M1943 uniform and boots were worn by everyone by the end of the war. All you need to do is trim off the straps on the cargo pockets and they can be used to represent late war US infantry. Even some Marines wore US Army two buckle boots!
I've been waiting for this video and it definitely didn't disappoint! These kitbashs are fantastic. I do especially love the Folgore and Captain K! It's also great to see Normandy era US Paratroopers easily done.
Thoroughly enjoyed this- great job on every one of them! Dont be too hard on your painting, you are zooming in real close to see the results of the conversions painted up and almost everyones painting cant stand up to that scrutiny at such close range! fantastic job, keep up the great work! Regards, Dan.
As a small request just because I’m going to attempt and make my first army, could you do a Chinese soldier of any division in your next video if it isn’t already filmed? I think you would do it best.
Out of curiosity, when doing the airborne kitbash why would this method be better then just sculpting a chinstrap on to a completed airborne head? It looks great regardless!
@@Basedweaboo this is kind of a dumb reason, but those straps are so small, and I really struggle being effective with greenstuff for tiny details like that haha!
my original idea was to do that guy post his run in with the propeller but when i put the afrika korps miniature through my meat slicer, the slicer broke down and I had to try something else
Hoi. Fascinating video. I have a quick question about sourcing a part: I am looking for US Army heads with glasses (I'm trying to represent a historical figure), but can't find any from what I can see of Warlord's sprues. I saw you had a guy with a US helmet and glasses when demonstrating a shirtless artillery man. Any thoughts?
@@nerdherd1819 yes! That head is on the US Army sprue. There are two versions, one from the launch of Bolt Action and a newer version that came out a few years ago - you want the newer sprue
Yeah the late war is airborne plastics are shit. They don’t fit well and are kind of out of proportion compared to US army infantry. The metal mid war sculpts are much better
Recording and editing the voiceover is alot of work - luckily I've found an AI service that PERFECTLY mimics my voice so I no longer have to do the voice over myself!!
You can also find some Folgore combat veterans of El Alamein on RUclips talking about their experiences. They’re in Italian with subtitles but listen to how they say it.
I think kitbashing is such an art. Thank you for walking me through, I would love to do something like this for my armies.

The Frenchman to a Goumier is insane! Looking forward to the Folgore project!

The captain K model is cool as hell. I think I prefer it to the real one tbh

Thanks Dan!! I should have mentioned it in the vid but the Gammon Bomb inspiration came from your book!
LETS GO. My favourite Kitbasher has uploaded again!
This is awesome!
Amazing job, very impressive!!

Kitbashing for bolt action on a channel from Utah? How many of these kits were from Gajo Games?
@@bubbadoom1837 all of them! Gajo rules!!
@scalehistoryslc819 hell yeah. Them and MRS are my go to hobby shops!
@@scalehistoryslc819 I'll be binging your channel. Good stuff. I'll share it, too.
thank you so much! Every third saturday of the month we hold Warlord Saturday at Gajo, come check it out sometime!

Man the american paratrooper kit just looks...bad. the rifle arms are so noodley and the BAR isnt anything like what they carried during the war.
THE REGULAR KIT, NOT YOUR KITBASH, YOUR KITBASH LOOKS GREAT

You can't do the Folgore until you learn the correct way to say the name. It it not "Folgoor" it's... Folgore... so work on that. ;-)
Folgor-ee?
@@scalehistoryslc819 in Italian, ‘e’ has an ‘eh’ sound-like ‘meh’. So Fol-gor-eh.

@scalehistoryslc819 don't listen to him, pronounce it exactly as you do and also remember the hard g in bersaglieri 😉
