Jeff you are a allaround mans man. A great AMERICAN, a great Fisherman, a great fabricator, and just a great guy. I’m honored to know you and I hope to be honored to be invited to fish with you. Keep up the great work my friend. Your channel is starting to grow fast as it should. God Bless America 🇺🇸
Appreciate you taking the time to share I like the idea I'll have to look back through some of the other videos and find it on the boat you have a blessed day
Thanks I appreciate it. I have a piece of 2” round par 1/2” thick I have tapped with 3/8 and 1/2” just to use for starting straight taps. Glad you enjoyed the video
Jeff I have something for you to work a set of planer boards that pull big bait out faster maybe front tip bent on 10 to 12 degree angle for slower speeds
I been planning one out all dang winter but kept getting stumped without welder. You'll be seeing a copy of yours on my boat at a tournament near you. Awesome!
Thank you. I appreciate it. I take it your not in the states lol. I love to catch carp here in NC. my biggest small mouth Buffalo was 67 lb. The lake I fish held the world record of around 90lb. At one time.
@@bowl830 The Blues Good afternoon/good morning to you. Hi thankyou for your reply! No bud I'm from the UK 🇬🇧 fella but quiet keen on making my own equipment if possible for fishing. If possible to save a little if I can. And make how I'd like like it to be instead of what companies like you to have. If that makes sense mate? Wow 60lb PB that must of been an amazing feeling to have caught that bud but fishing for 90lb that must be an amazing feeling In the uk i find it rare to here anything more than 40lb my PB is only 20lb but to be honest for me it's not about weight but beauty
Enjoyed the video Jeff. Great info on tapping. I learned something today. Have you ever built a combo of a rod rack/ rod holder?. Thank for the video Jeff.
Great video Mr Manning, id like for you to build me one of those ill send you the dimensions lol. I wish you would've worn gloves i was scared to death them shavings were gonna get you. Thanks for posting cant wait to see the next video.
Hi. Great vid. I have found a piece of aluminum that is 4" wide by 1/2" bar stock. Do you think that would be strong enough to make a rack out of? Thanks for the great vid. I have all these tools in the garage. Will borrow a tap from my neighbor. Thanks Tommy
It will be strong enough. The only issue I’ve found with 1/2” is if the bar is real long it has a tendency to bounce in the middle of it real choppy. I think you will be fine. I really appreciate you watching and commenting
Thank you Timothy. In the video are the ones I used to make. They work great. But on my boat I have all Fishbite holders now. I truly like them. Again thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it
Thank you. share and tell your friends. I’m trying to build a channel that is helpful not just me catching fish. Lol. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate it
Yes sir the only problem is they don’t work good on thicker material. Especially aluminum. They tend to gum up and ruin the new threads. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it
Nick I’m lucky we have a scrap yard here that sells to the public. I go there often for stuff for my projects. It’s in Kings mountain. Morris scrap metal. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it
Thanks, worked in machine shops 40 yrs, never saw the nut trick, excellent.
Great looking rod rack. Awesome tips on tapping and countersinking. Thanks for sharing this knowledge.
Thanks

Nice rack! I need to find a salvage yard near me that has metal and stuff like you and Keith (Fishin N Stuff) get. Or move down there, lol.
Lol. Yea it’s rare to find a place like what we shop.
Awesome video! Congrats on 1,000 subscribers.... Just curious what rod holders are you using?
Thank you Timothy. In the video are the ones I used to make. They work great. But on my boat I have all Fishbite holders now. I truly like them. Again thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it
Another GREAT video!!!!!!
Thanks brother
If I used 12" tall round bar stock. Will I have to put side braces on? Or will I be ok like the bar you made with out the side brace. Thanks Tommy
You would probably be fine. Use 1/2” bolts and you won’t have a problem. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it
I appreciate it. Thanks for the great video. Just order all my stuff. Paid 103 total. I'm happy with that. Thanks a million
That's a nice Rod Rack Jeff , I'm working on a Rod Rack too but it's a little different lol , I guess great minds think a like huh

Thank you. share and tell your friends. I’m trying to build a channel that is helpful not just me catching fish. Lol. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate it
I like this alot thinking make one out of aluminum
Yea it worked great. I can weld aluminum but this way anybody can build a quality rack with basic tools. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it
Anyway I could buy one from you?

Please start using a drill vice. I kept waiting on the video to turn into a bloody safety video.....Nice rod rack.
Yea. That inner voice kept saying stop. But I’m hard headed. Lol. I appreciate you watching and commenting. Thank you
There are drill bits that’ll thread the hole for a screw for you.
Yes sir the only problem is they don’t work good on thicker material. Especially aluminum. They tend to gum up and ruin the new threads.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it
@@bowl830 Great point. I am almost daring to try. However, I almost don’t think it’ll be worth it. Haha
What make rod holder did you use and what degree/angle are they?
I use fishbite rod holders. I have the type that has dual angle. Alan is a great guy and will do custom color combos.
You're my hero...….
Lol
Did you make the rod holders to?
Yes sir.
@@bowl830 Is there a video on making them? I would be interested in watching it and building some.
