This might be the first time I animated a whole song?? Maybe?? Anyways I have like negative time for animation nowadays but I snuck this one in there by combining sketching and lineart into one.
Story:
Sootbranch (black and white, he/him) is Starclan’s special little prophecy guy, marked by a star on his paw he’s got some grand destiny, but he reallly doesn’t wanna give up his few freedoms to be a medicine cat. So, Beetlewhisper (calico, he/they) proposes they swap. A decision they make as kits so they can both get what they want, one little lie only grows. Now they’re trapped in this lie together. They’re a lethal co-dependent combo, both obsessed with each other with a tendency to lie for the other’s sake, only hurting them more.
What do you do when you’re a medicine cat apprentice who’s been rejected by starclan? Make shit uppp Beetlewhisper starts lying more and more as he continues to get away with it, but it catches up to him because Sootbranch Knows and doesn’t like it. They promised never to lie to each other, but they’re both massive hypocrites. They have a big fight about it, Sootbranch goes off and dies rip but now he’s possessing this random guy who accidentally killed him (Sparrowflight, little guy with the scars, he/him). Beetlewhisper goes full murder revenge mode on Sparrowflight but uh oh his dead boyfriend is possessing this guy so he can’t even get his murder revenge :/
Other charcaters in this are the ghost guy at the beginning (Driftstar he/him) and the medicine cat mentor (Silverfern she/her)
