They are an extraordinary band! This came out a few years ago and I put it on my playlist to save and listen to on a work trip with a long drive. It hit while I was driving in the middle of nowhere in Iowa, it was snowing, very quiet, muffled and my car seemed like a warm personal space shared by just the music and me. Something about STT's version just triggered me. I pulled over and cried the ugly cry, blowing my nose on fast food napkins from the glove compartment, and then hit replay probably 7 times before I resumed driving. Idk. Some kind of catharsis, I guess. I love Phil's voice anyway, but the raw emotions just hit me. Is it as polished as some other versions? No. Does it need to be? Not for me. For me, this is the truest version that freakin' makes me FEEL something and gives me goosebumps! So glad you did this reaction!! For an original STT song to go to next, try "The Man." I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Tommy Johansson have also done a cower of Hallelujah 😏
An Easter Hallelujah & A Christmas Hallelujah by Cassandra Star & her sister Callahan are a lot better, and the words make more sense
