Quite quick and easy following these steps. Took maybe 30mins and that was without using the crank puller, was just a bit fiddly trying to feed the chain with the crank in the way. Really happy!

its ridiculus to expect a normal user to go through this just for changing a stupid chain.

OG models of this bike comes with chains that don't have a master link. I looked for twenty minutes second guessing myself. To replace the chain you either cut the chain or disassemble the bike

Right I am going to provide some context for this video having spent 90 minutes changing the f****** left hand chain. For a start the chain was at least 2mm too short. It did not just sit perfect and seamlessly on the cog wheel as the video suggests. It took brute strength and 2 cans of beer to force the mofo into place over the teeth. Once in place the little steel plug that connects the links (for want of a better description) was also tighter than a nuns c.... 30 mins at least wrestling on my belly trying to put it through the two holes of both ends of the chain. Finally that ridiculous slither of metal goes on and if you ain't got needle pliers don't bother starting. If you have magnified specs a big bonus. My eyesight is not what it was and seriously 5 inches from the action for 90 mins is just grinding. Long story short be prepared to spend a very long time, experience massive frustration, all fingers and thumbs, Bring beer and hard rock or metal. I am delighted my bike is back in action. But f*** me I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

Good bikes, but this video is far from good. Place the captions anywhere other than where you put them, they block the only thing I need to see. Also lighting is bad and lacking close ups. It may suffice for a bike mechanic who already knows how to do this stuff but for general pop it’s garbage. Film it again and repost, it’ll take less than an hour.

This was the exercise equivalent of IKEA.
Could you all consider adding better lighting along with dialogue?

🔥 HOT TIP: Our crank puller would NOT budge. We tried everything (talking mallet plus 185lb dude wrestler strength/grip at max capacity while I pulled the arm in the opposite direction). Eventually, we discovered we could work around it by detatching the arm from the linkage and were able to maneuver around it. If you get desperate, as we did, just move straight to disconnecting the linkage from the arm with the wrench and allen key. Super simple and doesn't fight you. ••• We also got into trouble with tightening/loosening and getting the fan alignment right. Adjust alignment and tightening the chain at the FRONT of the bike. If the chain is too tight, loosen it at the BACK of the bike. See here: ruclips.net/video/4weOds20XYo/видео.html

Great feedback. I went straight to pulling off the chain guard and was able to completely avoid pulling the crank for large chain (left) replacement. Right chain not so lucky, but crank puller worked in the end. For service on left side, the only step needed really is removing the chain cover which is straightforward and easy. Good tip as well regarding tightening from front and loosening from back...saves heaps to time re: alignment issues.

Great Bike, but..... i totaly agree with CF Sweatshop´s comment! This Video is not much of a help, because you cannot really see what the Guy is doing precisely, because of innsufficient lighting and No close-ups. Das Video ist leider KEINE grosse Hilfe, danke für nicht viel.

Allen wrench was useless on the crank fixing bolt. I tried my favorite Milwaukee drill with an 8mm hex bit and that did not even work. I resorted to using an 18 inch torque wrench with a 1/2 inch drive and an 8mm hex bit. And I had to stand on the pedal to keep the gear from spinning.
