One time, I placed down an Obelisk of Light, and the EXACT FRAME the building-placed animation started playing, THE FUCKING ION CANNON DESTROYS IT. The animation didn't even get a chance to finish.

The bad thing about the Obelisk, despite the fact it can shoot down tanks easily, was easily tore down by a squad of minigunners.

Old comment but can't agree more. The game just doesn't allow you to have fun with Obelisks in the Nod Campaign.
