    In this video: manual and dynamic teach-in, as well as set-up and operation of the KTM.
    Enhanced color detection performance: The new CSM color sensor from SICK offers improved gloss behavior combined with an IO-Link function and a miniature housing. The CSM is ideal for applications where color characteristics need to be detected reliably and installation space is at a premium. The sensor detects and monitors objects on the basis of their color. The small CSM color sensor can be set using a simple teach-in method, while the new IO-Link function enables intelligent diagnostics, visualization of sensor parameters, and straightforward format changes. Thanks to a switching frequency of up to 1.7 kHz, the CSM is also suitable for use with high-speed machines and manufacturing processes.

    Can we teach for atleast 2 colour at a time ? Our application is to sense the label colour on a PET bottle. Label contains 2-3 colors on its printed surface

      Hi @sachinpbabu118 and thank you for your question!
      With the follower model of the CSM, the scenario you describe would be possible. It features a new "dynamic teach-in" option, where 2-3 colors can be taught in by moving them under the sensor. However, if you wish to use this option, it is important to ensure that no unwanted switching occurs due to any background color that falls within the taught color combination.

      Have a great day!

    Can I use this sensor to detect water color??

    • @SICKSensors
      @SICKSensors  4 года назад

      It is quite subjective on detecting the water color.
      It depends on where the water color is contained, how intense its the color, how much quantity etc.
      If the water color is contained a for example standard water color container and the color is ok, CSM should be able to detect it.
      But if the water color is on the table (for example), or diluted with a lot of water, there will be other factors to consider too.
      So it depends on the applications.

    Are you able to integrate this with the Arduino or Raspberry PI?

    • @SICKSensors
      @SICKSensors  Год назад

      Dear @amichow, thank you for your question! Accessing the sensor via IO-Link from Arduino or Raspberry PI works. There would be the following possibilities for this. You could use an IO-Link master like the SIG200 and connect it to the Raspberry PI or Arduino. This way the master can be addressed via standard TCP/IP and communicate with the sensor via IO-Link. Otherwise it would be possible to design an IO-Link shield for Raspberry PI or Arduino. The linking would then be possible without an additional master. Examples can be found on the web. Please note, however, that a Windows PC is required for using the SICK software Sopas ET. Have a great day.

    Works on glass ?

    • @SICKSensors
      @SICKSensors  4 года назад

      Hi Pedro Rodríguez Beltrán, The recommendation is to be used the CS8 (www.sick.com/de/de/registration-sensors/farbsensoren/cs8/c/g113669 ). This sensor has autocollimation optics. The glass to be detected must then be positioned between the sensor and a triple reflector. The sensor light penetrates the glass on its way to the reflector and back. In addition, the sensor should be tilted slightly relative to the glass surface to avoid the direct shine reflex.
      With the CSM this application will be very difficult to solve.
