Don't need to grate the coconut, roughly chop the coconut and all the other items make sure you don't water . first grind as it is and then add water in the end .try it once trust me
She dint add soda.... without soda how will idlys become pluffy....pls reply
It will become fluffy due to fermentation induced by mixing with hands.
We South Indians never use soda as it is not good in the long run for ur health

For coconut chutney you can cut it into thin, finger length pieces and grind in mixer before adding other chutney ingredients. That helps a lot.

Hello mam. Maine bilkul apke trike se daal chaval ki idli ka batter ready Kiya. 8 hour dhup mai rkhne se bhi ferment nhi hua. Or idli bhi tight bni. Fir maine batter mai thoda oil and thoda meetha soda daal kr idli bnai to soft bni.
