THAT’S where I parked my boat! Thanks for finding it for me! I am amazed looking at old maps how much a river will meander. Sometimes by as much as 5 miles. And some harbors will completely fill in.
Beautiful views , it is well worth the dig , can just see the Viking ships pulling up to the shoreline and settling there.. you never know what you could find buried. 🎉
Really fantastic hunt and what a magnificent beautiful Forest of colors! I hope you guys have a strong. Viking spell . Prayer to ward off the Viking curse! protecting their burial sites! You are really taking your place in the history of your Homeland by finding these archaeological sites. What does your government do with the relics? In America they are often stolen and secretive away forever in the Smithsonian Institute and other secret places. Like maybe the bones of 10 ft tall people and Technology from thousands of years ago.
Thanks Jan! The goverment usually wants everything older than 100 years if it has some historical value. The common items that they take is probably stored somewhere never to be seen again while the better items might get positioned in some museum :)
You didn't waste those 30 minutes Emil. If you stayed home and sat on your but, that would have been a waste of your time. If you didn't take that time to investigate the area you might have missed the opportunity of finding something truly amazing. Keep fighting the good fight guys.

Yeah, we would never break anything like that. This mound was actually robbed centuries ago unfortunately.
