About 5 years ago, I bought (on a whim) a vintage Traynor plexi clone, and it quite simply blew me. Seriously. It blew me. Away. So, what’d I do?.... I ran right out and bought three more. I now have a Dynabass 200T bass combo (a 200 watt 2x10 that is friggin’ amazing!), the 20 watt 1x12 retro looking YGL1 reissue (super deep digital reverb makes it a shoe gazer’s wet dream), their 50 watt 1x12 total Marshall/Fender killer, the YCS50 (tone stack placement can be switched to ‘before’ or ‘after’ the preamp’s 12AX7s, just as with their YGL1). Wanna stand out in The Looks AND The Sound Department? Fucking TRAYNOR, bro! Traynor!!!!

Thanks for the video, I just picked one of these up at a garage sale for $5 and was told it didn’t work.. surprise twist, just needed to reset the circuit breaker, and will need a good pot cleaning at some point down the road.

Thanks for this! I really like the grit of the ts-15 and 25s.

    Eminence - made in Kentucky.
That square magnet design was also used by Fender and Sunn.
    Great speaker.

This was my first guitar amplifier, so many years ago. Those were the days.

Just about to add this amp to my collection of Traynor amps. My first solid state from them, interested to see the comparison in sound

The speaker company you're referring to would be be an obscure outfit called "Eminence". The 67 on the back of the speaker magnet is the manufacturer's code, followed by year of manufacture and week.

Well oiled beef hook, I thought that Traynors only came with Marsland or RSC speakers. Thanks fer learnin' me!

Just a by the way, I believe having the reverb tank a little loose helps with possible vibration noise from the springs.

SY tuning = sonic youth, or what? Sounds dirrrty! A noise rocker friend used this as her bedroom amp slammed pretty hard!

It actually stands for " Transistor Series"

I thought it stood for turd sandwich. Compared to a small Peavey practice amp of the same era, these things are horrible. That’s why they are in the garage or Goodwill.
