Thank you Joel and Allan for articulating what Capitalism (and not in a meme worthy sense) is currently doing to society, and how we as a church keep outsourcing our problems to God. I believe that God has equipped us with what we need to make a difference, after all, we are the Hands and Feet of Jesus.
The conversation on capitalism informing why sermons are big on money now makes sense. It is a sad reality, but it helps one understand how we got here. For Christians these conversations can make one feel helpless, and, it is likely why people respond through individualism.

I like it before I even watch.
Can you divorce your sense of self from your productivity in a neo-liberal world? Insightful conversation.
