We are all okay! By nothing short of a huge blessing, we did not lose power or water. It was threatening to go all night, but didn't! Now I do not have to worry about my medical supplies. I got a quick text from Judd this morning, he is busy but safe. So are my parents. We do not know the extant of damage to our home or county, but we will within the next few days. I hope y'all stay safe!
Chronically Jaquie glad to know that Judd and your parents are safe and sound. I'm just worried about your house. I have a huge feeling that it's damaged, but I hope that I'm wrong on that.
I am still praying for you, Judd, Janice and Paul. I pray that if any damage happens, its not devastating and that things will be okay. Thanks for keeping us updated and vlogging this expierence!
I survived hurricane Harvey but wear I was it wasn't as bad a few trees and branches go knocked over and it wasn't as bad in Austin as it was in Houston or dallas
I just saw someone with a service dog address the holding issue. Apparently, dogs don't have the same sense of urgency to use the potty. Obviously they know when they should go, but it wouldn't get as uncomfortable for them as it does for us. I don't know if that's true but it was interesting.
Harlow is so cute. She seemed to be able to tell you were worried. She looked likd she was saying "I got your back mom, it will be ok". I love animals so much.
Has anyone stepped outside when the eye is over you. Typhoons Omar came through when my husband and I was USAF on Guam. My husband and his buddies went and flipped the cars back over when the eye was over base. Blue sky and calm. Lasted about 15-20 minutes. This was back in 92. We got hit with 5 typhoons..hugs everyone. Prayers for dad, mom, Judd. Hugs ...Prayers for y'all💗💗💗🐕🐕🐶🐶🐾🐾🐾🐾🙏🙏🙏🙏
Just as I was thinking you probably weren't going to be able to upload today, the notification bell rings and lo and behold there you are! This hurricane had the potential to be so much worse than it already has been. Glad yall are safe!
All three of your guys' dogs seem fine during the hurricane. Over here we're just having an evening summer storm and my dog is glued to my lap, panting, shaking, shedding, the works. She couldn't go through a hurricane.
A tip for pottying when outdoors is not available! I have taught my service dog to use puppy pads as well as going outside. I keep puppy pads in my house in case I ever can’t take her outside. Where I live we get a lot of tornado threats and floods and stuff like that, also my dog developed spay incontinence which made her UTI prone before I started giving her hormone pills to strengthen her bladder sphincter again. All of this makes it so that sometimes I can’t take my dog outside to potty. When she was having bladder problems (the meds have made them stop fyi, for anyone who wants to complain that a UTI-prone dog who piddles on occasion shouldn’t be a service dog...) I just put a pad or two in the rooms we normally spend time in (which have carpet so cleaning accidents is difficult there) and every time she had a pain piddle she tried to shift so it would end up on the pad. Obviously sometimes it misses just a little but with training there’s at least some aim. I also use this training for when I visit at my boyfriend’s apartment, because sometimes it’s not easy to get outside, and he already has pads for his mom’s dog and his ESA anyway so that came in handy. Fortunately no tornadoes have hit that prevented me from taking Lexie outside yet but I feel good knowing that the pads will be there in case we have to stay inside for any reason (being outside during high wind and a lot of lightning is dangerous especially for me because the wind can sometimes blow me over and close, loud noises and excessive flashing send me into PTSD episodes or just give me horrible disorientation and headaches and I lose balance). And especially if Harlow is super good at the potty command (Lexie is getting there on the immediate reaction, it takes work lol but she does know the command) then the pads would come in handy for future hurrican threats or whatever. Hope this is helpful!
It was very scary during the hurricane as I live in Ocoee, FL we weren't expecting the eye to pass over us. But it did and miraculously our group of houses in our cul-de-sac didn't sustain any physical damage but instead a lot of downed tree limbs. However, just a block over was so much worse. Massive trees trough brick walls landing on top of houses and downed power lines. Just before watching this we had no power but as I'm typing we have power but the wifi isn't working. So I'm making good use of my unlimited data plan. 😂
So glad you all are safe! I'm also in Florida and this has been super scary! I'm very blessed to still have power, but I was pretty worried last night. I hope everyone stays safe and sound
SO GLAD YOUR OKAY WITH HARLOW! Some of my family migrated over to Atlanta Georgia, and their whole area is flooded 😢 but then again so happy your okay! ❤️❤️
My husband is doing relief efforts here in Georgia but I hear from him once a day. My son is a state corrections officer and Friday they evacuated the prison and I've only heard from him once so a little worried there but I wish you and Judd the best and Harlow too. We made it an are home now. Luckily I needed no medical interventions.
You looked so upbeat and full of energy in this video. In a storm like that, I would honestly be om the floor clutching my head from the pressure. Weather affects me so terribly. Glad to hear the power stayed on. My mom in law lost power where she is in Orlando.
I'm glad you and Judd are safe from the hurricane. My Fiancé's mother lives in Kissimmee, FL so she felt the strong winds and rains too. We were so scared and worried. But on a happier note I became a fan about 2 weeks ago and I already feel like I know you! You are an inspiration to most people. I love how every day you push yourself to keep going. It helps to know "I too can keep on swimming!". God bless you and your family. You are quite the blessing!
Jacquie I was scrolling through Facebook videos and came across a CBS News videos of you and Harlow that was bringing awareness to your POTS and just wanted to let you know that you're and Hippo's message about chronic illness is spreading across social medias. Sending love and prayers to all of you!
Rode it out in downtown Orlando and we didn't lose power either. We are headed home to Miami tomorrow where we do not have power yet. No reported damage to our home other than a down fence and trees, but we're hoping to have power sooner rather than later.
So happy to hear from you and to know that you are all ok. I look forward to seeing you every day and hearing your words of encouragement and strength. I adore you.
I'm so glad to see your vlog today! That meant you still had power or somewhere that had power. I'm glad that you guys are ok and Judd and your parents. I hope your home didn't receive to much damage.
Thank you for posting! I was thinking of you all night when the Weather Channel kept talking about Tampa/Tampa Bay area. I am saying prayers for your home, but I am so relieved that you have power at Janiece and Paul's and that you are ok and Judd is ok!
Oh, before I forget, please pass my belated happy Patriot Day wishes along to Judd, along with my gratitude for his service. After all, Patriot Day is the day we honor all our emergency workers. And between Texas, Florida and pretty much the entire western half of the US (I'm in Montana, where we've lost over a million acres of forest to fire), our emergency workers have been working their butts off protecting us. So I'm especially grateful to them this year.
So glad to hear from you thank you for carrying on with your Vlog at this particularly stressful time. Glad you and yours are all doing well and staying safe. 💗
Glad to see you are doing okay Jaquie. My family and I live in the Orlando area and unfortunately lost power. Thankfully, we didn't sustain any damage on our house or experience flooding. I hope your home in Tampa stayed dry, best of luck!
I have been thinking of and praying for you all. And especially Judd. It is always hard when there is an emergency and you're involved in it, but your National Guard husband has to go and help! I'm glad you're safe and sound with the gang, and let your Hubby know how proud we are of him and all the folks that are there, selflessly helping others when they don't even know if their own places are still standing. You guys stay safe. Godspeed!
Glad you and Judd stayed safe! I am in Pasco county like 30 minutes from Tampa and we had no damage and our power didn't go out luckily! I think we all got very blessed. I hope your apartment is okay as well
I hope you all are doing good. I live in Florida also and just got my power back on today. i hope everyone that had to deal with hurricane Irma is doing good.
God bless you all and stay safe Jacqui. If worse comes to worse and you go without power plz get to a hospital for your feeding tube and nebulizer. atleast they have backup generators there. we love you all and are praying for Judd's safe return to you. Stay safe and give Harlow a big hug for being such a trooper through this all for you. I know your nerves have got to be at their limits with worry, but God will see you all through this. my prayers will stay with you. Tampa used to be my home too, so I know what your going through. I have friends and family trying to still clean up from Hurricane Harvey, and my daughter went through the severe floods that struck San Marcus, Tx. So keep your chin up and keep the faith that God will pull y'all through this one. goodnight
people are so different today? girl you're so much like us. you're handling this step by step. if I can just say Harley seems to think this is just a vacation?
The eye went over us but thankfully it went down to a category 2 when it hit us. We didn't lose power or water but like you it was threatening to go any minute. The only severe damage at my house is the pool foundation is giving out (because of all the water) and some of our bushes got uprooted and knocked over. I hope your home is okay and the damage is not that bad :)
Hi. I live in Norway, and don't experience hurricanes as much. I wonder what happens with school during a hurricane. Do the schools prepare to close when the hurricane news appear?
In Florida, our "snow days" are technically our "hurricane days," where schools throughout the counties (or state, in this case) close for a few days before, during, and after the hurricane. They remain closed until the damages can be assessed. Usually schools reopen within the week the hurricane ends. If memory serves me right, school gyms are indeed sometimes used as shelter for communities whose residents had to evacuate their homes. But I'm fairly sure schools are closed for students because of safety reasons; wouldn't want children battling 50 mph winds getting off the school bus, or roofs coming apart while students and teachers are present.
I live in Alabama and if there is any likelihood of bad weather, from past experience... school is cancelled. In the past, we didn't close and many struggled to get home.
I'm so happy for you your Harlow and ranch video has 1 million views!!! Also question, while going back through your Chanel it says they're are 4 deleted videos during around your hospital time just wanted to know about it. :)
luckily here in new england we don’t get to many natural disasters other than blizzards and some flooding. but that stuff is scary!! glad everything’s okay.
I was out of power for 9 days!!!!!!! We did not have a generator so it was so hot with 4 people and 4 cats and 2 bunnies all in one house. I live in Summerfield Florida
The reason why the storm is like category 1 2n4 3 it’s because once it hits land it loses all it power because the water makes it stronger and maybe when it moving to a other pay some part of it would be on part of the water and make a bit more stronger
Praying for you and your family and friends and your pup's keeping you all in my thoughts and I hope your home will be ok and not to much damage from the hurricane all my love to you all stay strong and safe.
Never Again I'm from Pensacola & during Katrina I learned to call your landline number and if it rings, your house is fine. If it doesn't ring..well your house is unlivable.
Irma's path was quite unpredictable, but it's very common for cat fives to weaken and restrengthen multiple times. They undergo eyewall replacement cycles in order to maintain their strength, but that takes a great deal of energy and causes them to temporarily lose some strength. Unfortunately, we have not yet figured out the pattern behind the eyewall replacement cycle, so that part is also unpredictable. Once the eye is on land, it can't replace its wall anymore, and that's when it starts to get progressively weaker. By the way, Bolt has a track record for saving people from burning buildings, so of course he's the natural choice. Nani also has a track record...for being an abysmal cook. So you're taking your life into your hands by accepting a dinner invite from her. :P
So glad you guys are safe......the good news is if there is any flood damage on your home, you are renting it which means that the landlord has the responsibly of fixing it not you right? Just thought id give a bright side of it. Sending prayers and hope your way.
I use to live in Austin Texas and survived hurricane Harvey and when I had my service dog in training pee pads really helped us during hurricane Harvey and I miss your vlogs
Haha oh Jaquie I LOVED your reaction there: "you chose a dog??" when I'd trust a dog most-- they can retreive water bottles, alert to syncope and hey, Bolt saved Penny from a burning building! Haha I just think it's funny-- service dog handler trusts Buzz over Bolt haha. Really hope you all are safe and still hanging in there xxx
Excited to have, purchase my first 'premium tee' today. I purchased the 'blue matches my service dogs gear (color) I picked blue, because - as, you know it the color they see best. Another thing, dogs 'can do' the general public fail to see (read). Such is the 'day., in a life,..' You guys, in our daily prayers and thoughts. You are, the inspiration and avocacy, we strive to represent and meet and the hope shared, for Invisable disabilities to be, a part of living and reason to thrive and have hope. I cannot wait to wear this symbol of independence and carry your mission and avocacy forward.
Thanks for your very interesting Vlogs about the hurricane. I've learned so much because you know a lot about hurricanes. I'm from Germany and wo don't have hurricanes. What I wonder is, doesn't make it sense to fill own water canister with tab water instead of buying water in the store? I don't know how often you have hurricanes in your are, but there are refrigeratora who ran by gas, you can buy in little bottles. And maybe a powerbank to charge your feeding tube, mobile phone, nebulizer and other stuff. Only my inexperienced thoughts. Thank for your Vlogs, I used to have a service dog too and love to get informations about them from all over the world.
Loved the vlog you all are amazing people and my prayers are with all yall thank you for creating content even though you are in that situation I appreciate it
South Carolina got hit by that storm it didn't FEEL like a tropical storm. We have tornadoes and power outages, flooding of course. Good thing we charge everything, like feeding pumps, batteries for my hearing aids. I kept going outside during this storm and it was epic. But the flood and power ehhhhhh. Nope not fun.
We are all okay! By nothing short of a huge blessing, we did not lose power or water. It was threatening to go all night, but didn't! Now I do not have to worry about my medical supplies. Stay stafe Jaquille ❤️
Chronically Jaquie so glad you are ok!! Hurricane is hitting us now, but only the outskirts.
Thanks for the update. Glad you made it through the night!
I think the dogs think they are on vacation together. So cute, that they have a playmate and are lightening the mood for all.
my house was directly in the eye! VERY SCARY! luckily we are all okay. fence and trees are down
Rachel Creighton so glad you're safe♥️
Rachel Creighton miracle! Hope you and your family stay safe 💗
Eeh. If you have a dog as a pet that would be bad if they are a runner. But thankfully you and your family are ok
Rachel Creighton stay safe
Rachel Creighton it was really scary I was hearing stuff at my house all night I'm a single mama so it's just me and my little girl
I am still praying for you, Judd, Janice and Paul. I pray that if any damage happens, its not devastating and that things will be okay. Thanks for keeping us updated and vlogging this expierence!
Jessica Braunscheidel Your not praying for Harlow? :(

Prayers!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Janiece and You are literal friendship goals ❤️
It was fun watching you play the board game. I love board games. Glad you haven't lost power and everyone is safe.
Hi. I live in Norway, and don't experience hurricanes as much. I wonder what happens with school during a hurricane. Do the schools prepare to close when the hurricane news appear?
The schools close so that people can seek shelter within them i think.

Hannes Herrey Thank you for the answer.
RynRynRain Thank you for the answer.
I live in Alabama and if there is any likelihood of bad weather, from past experience... school is cancelled. In the past, we didn't close and many struggled to get home.
After a hurricane, comes a rainbow 🌈☺️ so glad y'all are okay!
So glad you are at a safe place and that you are okay!! 💪🏻⛈
Keep safe Jaquie. You're in our thoughts and prayers from Toronto Canada
Keep up the great work! Everyday your videos inspire me and make me happy! Stay safe and in good spirits!!
No news is good news, and I'm glad you're safe. I hope things stay calm like they've been.
I love how you are so calm.
"I love nani because she's an amazing sister!!" That's true
Thank God you're okay! From what I'm seeing in updates, it seems to be dissipating. Thank God for Paul and Janiece! We appreciate you guys!
The board game playing scene was so funny!
Y'all be safe and hope not a lot of damage. I will keep praying for everyone. Take care hunny..
LOL, I would've picked Bolt too because he literally saves someone from a burning building! :P
Glad to hear you all are good❤️❤️
I'm glad you have been able to get texts from Judd to know he's okay.
I heard that Irma veered away from Tampa Bay, and I was so relieved. Thank goodness!
I'm glad you're safe. This hurricane seems really unpredictable.
Thinking of you all in this stressful time! I hope you stay safe. Sending lots of love and hugs! Stay strong you are an amazing inspirational women! X
i love the community that you're creating ☺️❤️
I was out of power for 9 days!!!!!!! We did not have a generator so it was so hot with 4 people and 4 cats and 2 bunnies all in one house. I live in Summerfield Florida
My Chihuahuas cuddle like that too. My bigger chi, Baxter is my living heating pad. They are amazing pups. :). Be safe!
Man even as a two that storm was intense. So glad it was weaker than expected.
Prayers for y'all from WV God bless
Stay safe Jaq!
The reason why the storm is like category 1 2n4 3 it’s because once it hits land it loses all it power because the water makes it stronger and maybe when it moving to a other pay some part of it would be on part of the water and make a bit more stronger
So happy all of u guys are safe
Praying for you and your family and friends and your pup's keeping you all in my thoughts and I hope your home will be ok and not to much damage from the hurricane all my love to you all stay strong and safe.
We evacuated up to New England, still won't know how our apartment will be until our landlord gets home (hopefully tonight). Glad you guys are safe
Never Again I'm from Pensacola & during Katrina I learned to call your landline number and if it rings, your house is fine. If it doesn't ring..well your house is unlivable.
Courtany Richards not necessarily the telephone line could just be down
Glad to hear your good...payers for your family , friends and all of Florida..

They undergo eyewall replacement cycles in order to maintain their strength, but that takes a great deal of energy and causes them to temporarily lose some strength. My grandparents live in sarasota county and they said they had no damage to the house at all so I hope y'all are that lucky too
I'm glad that y'all are safe and doing ok! Keep on keeping on 🤗
Stay safe jaquie, sending my prayers to you and everyone in Florida!
You have our prayers for your safety. Good Luck!
Hope you and judd and paul and jaquie and your parents stay safe.
Thankful you are all safe. Hopefully with little damage.
All I could think about when you said it was losing strength was that the hurricane was running out of spoons.
I hope that you guys all weathered the hurricane well. Sending you all good thoughts.
Sending prayers from Minnesota. May you all stay safe
"Hey you chose a dog???!! 😂😂😂
I'm so early ahh , hope you guys are alright ❤️
