Creator of the game "Enter The Backrooms" here. I released my game on Steam just over 5 years ago because I thought the concept was really neat and because I wanted to try making a commercial game. It was very rough around the edges, but I had fun and continued pushing updates after release. About a year later, Kane Pixels started releasing his Found Footage videos, and their virality trickled down to my game. Despite its subpar quality (I didn't even use a proper game engine), the hype around The Backrooms brought more attention to my game than it ever deserved. If it weren't for his work, I couldn't have afforded my college degree in game development, which I am completing this year. The Backrooms and Kane Pixels literally gave me a head start in life and I couldn't be more excited to see a movie about it all.
Oh, I have that game! Good job on making it, even with titans like the Binding of Isaac and Pizza Tower in my library, I still choose play it from time to time.
“Because I needed money and the only way I could get that was by not using my own original ideas. Thank you, Kane Pixels. Or should I say, thank you Anonymous user on 4chan for even coming up with the Backrooms.”* Fixed it for you. 👍
A random renovation photo from 2 decades ago sparked a 4chan creepypasta, a whole fandom, and now a full feature length movie. Butterfly effect in full swing.
This is gonna be so good I'm just hoping it's actually going to be somewhat 100 percent accurate to the original lore, monsters, and tapes witch it might be.
Kane cooked because nobody in the industry knows how to make these rooms shot actually look like the original backroom image. They got the right guy to do it.
@coconut7490 i present to you: kauffman all jokes aside this still looks fantastic and bro if kauffman was actually in on the movie itself dude omg it might be the #1 faithful backrooms adaptation
Actually the most fascinating interpretation of the Backrooms I’ve seen yet, it replicates rooms over and over, operating like a sort of "brain" slowly forgetting details until the room doesn't even resemble the original anymore.
seems like dementia wich could be a reference to the album i forgot the name of that is 6 hours long so theres a chance its a burning memory is inside of the film
"The more times it remembers something the less it does" That's certainly an eerie analogy for how our memories are never truly the same no matter how hard we try to recall them as before.
I can. Just recently. I've watched the Project Hail Mary trailer a dozen times. I've read the book so I know how good it is. If they stay true to the book by only 50%, it's going to be nominated for an Academy award. But the backrooms... I don't go to the theater often, it's been a couple years. Now I have two movies I want to see this year. That's unheard of.
Normal avengers movie, but during one of the MCU slap humor shots, a characters teleport fails and they end up there. The style of filming and color remains the same, but we never cut away, and the jovial silly character (like Thor) slowly goes from being amused and making jokes in MCU cringey fashion to legitimately becoming afraid and then descending into MA rated madness like The Boys. Oh and the films fun score becomes quieter until it goes away entirely.
The idea of the Backrooms somehow experiencing human infrastructure, generating it from memory (loosely speaking, the backrooms probably isn't a conscious thing), then endlessly self-referencing its own memory of it is such a sick idea and fits the vibe perfectly. Like an AI training on its own regurgitated material over and over and over until it strays so far from the original it's nearly unrecognisable
@Chesnok-je8oswell hopefully not honestly. That would potentially be a little much for the film. By the idea I was talking about though it'd make more sense if all the levels were just sort of mashed together as one big level. Something that WOULD be really cool is if there were levels but you go down, never up, and the more you go down the more it resembles architecture from further and further back in human history until you get to endless dusty halls of mud bricks
@Aashka_The_Mysticthe RUclips series demonstrates this very well, chairs or tables with stretched dimensions, doors and windows that lead to nowhere, even houses or entire buildings generated clipped into each other. I really like this concept over the “level” system tbh
@EXtreamiumyeah but I was thinking it was just random, not that it was trying to copy actual places, but this teaser implies that the multiple levels are worse and worse copies of reality, like a degradation of memory
The Backrooms are a Spatial Representation of Executive Dysfunction. It is the architecture of a mind that has lost its ability to sequence, filter, and exit its own internal loops.
"The more times it remembers something, the less it does." That gives all new meaning to the "monsters" we've seen. Fragmented, distorted memory shadows of people trapped in the past. That's so creepy but so amazing as a concept!
I am so excited that A24 gave Kane Parsons complete creative control to really bring his vision to life. He's had a solid idea in his head for the past 5 years and A24 knew exactly what it was. This movie is gonna be exactly what we're hoping for.
@checkurwristwatch9739 lately all their films have been kind of shit with A lister actors. I hope backrooms is good but I have a feeling the only reason it got greenlit is because of the viral factor. The great thing about the backrooms was the mystery which has been beaten away by countless video games, shitty scp fan fiction and now a feature length movie exploring it in full. Backrooms is and only has been some shitty cmos digital photo of a room in washkosh wisconsin
actually the entire idea of the backrooms originated after GTA V came out and it's now being turned into a feature film and we're STILL waiting for GTA VI
Genuinely the best explanation for the Backrooms I’ve seen yet. Sticking to the original lore of it being the manifestation of hazy, shifting memories of old, smelly, yet familiar office spaces
@2-unskippableadsto be honest I wouldn't mind it being separate since the back room sometimes deal with the confusing of time and day and sometimes the people aren't real....
@2-unskippableads I really hope the movie universe is much more inspired by the backrooms wiki, not Kane Pixels series. The backrooms wiki and all of the levels and entities is what the backrooms REALLY is supposed to be about. Luckily it seems that the movie universe is more closely related to the original lore from the wiki, the wallpaper is the exact same as the original image and not like the wallpaper in Kane Pixels videos. Also the script was written by some other guy who is NOT Kane Pixels, which means that hopefully that writer made his own version of the backrooms and simply gave it to Kane to direct. I hope we have multiple levels in this movie as well as iconic objects like almond water.
@guillep4826yea It started as a liminal space, somewhere that’s… wrong. But you can’t rlly say WHY is wrong at a first glance, it doesn’t seem wrong or weird or strange. It’s just..: empty. But then people started to put monsters and shit and levels :P
Idk how new it is, but the idea of the backrooms being like a memory is one of the best interpretations of the way its weird layouts work I've heard of
there better not be any entities in this movie!!!11!! i wanna watch a guy walk around for possibly 3 hours straight with zero interruptions!!1! i totally know how good films are made!!!!1
I'm kinda late. But I seen someone had an idea where the Backrooms remembers the narrator less and less causing him to look like a monster. I'm ngl it sounds pretty cool. I kinda don't like the idea of literally nothing happening for hours straight lmao it sounds a little boring. But if it's the direction, hopefully it's executed well.
i like how the chair in the second iteration is significantly larger than the original. reminds me of how things seem bigger in our memories, especially childhood memories, while we were really just smaller + the vibrant lighting and slight color changes making it appear nostalgic as others have mentioned which is really cool to me
I love the progression of the room from a normal (if slightly off-putting) room as it deteriorates and distorts more, becoming less and less like the original, until it becomes an expanse into the uncanny yellow halls. Can't wait to see this!
It's literally a representation of how we misremember experiences until they evolve into something almost completely different than the original experience
I am insanely intrigued to see what weird and wonderful things these backrooms contain, my favorite part is the surreal uncomfortable nature of it changing and being under investigation.
@StreamKickFlip Yes..... don't care bout all the other u tbers who jumped the wagon and added their lil' fan fiction to Backrooms..... Kane. Full stop.
@StreamKickFlip There are countless others who have added their own Backroom stories on U Tbe, like fans or wanna bes, wanting to be part of it. It is not theirs. It is Kane's.
Sorry you missed it but I heard two or three years ago and have been periodically checking since. For a while it was on A24's list of upcoming films, then it disappeared and I assumed it had been scrapped so this teaser is doubly delightful.
I love how Parsons departed from VHS footage here. It’s like he’s visually teleporting us in the backrooms itself, seeing it like how the lost people saw it.
Yes, exactly. I honestly love that this film is more focused on character experience than the laboratory. It feels less like watching creepy CCTV footage and more like seeing through the eyes of someone trapped in a burning building. It’s raw and visceral to see such a scary concept so clearly as if it was real.
"the more times it remembers something. The less it does." not only is this such a insane fucking quote, but the fact that the backrooms is being referred to as a "it" as if it's something or alive is intriguing.
I always thought of the Backrooms as alive. Perhaps not sentient, but definitely alive. I think it has the same goal as anything alive; to keep existing (hence it's infinite growth and size). I get 'Blame!' vibes from the backrooms. The manga (introduced in 1997) exists in a city the size of half our solar system (extends out to Jupiter). Humans are basically extinct (not quite, but close) and machines and Ai have run amok and just keep building and building, adding onto the city for tens of thousands of years. It's the only other Backrooms-like property I can think of. In true backrooms fashion, every now and then you'll come across hostile robots or entities, and some friendly ones.
The backrooms, lore wise, is constructed endlessly by an entity called "The Bacteria" 🫡 It is constantly spreading and has been since the threshold was opened. Essentially expanding beyond the means of reality and space. 😊
What if the monster ends up being a deformed memory of the narrator as the rooms start to remember him less and less, eventually no longer resembling a human
That's always been my theory. The monsters are other people lost. They are degenerating, losing their humanity but not realising it. And they are chasing you, not to kill you but to ask you for help.
This is so fucking awesome, man. Average cinema-goers aren't gonna know what to expect from this, and Kane Pixel/Backrooms fans have an inkling of what to expect. What a time to be alive.
Yo, people are so heavy on dividing everyone. Why can’t I like the avengers movies and the backrooms movie? Why am I not allowed to like the new Superman and the new Toy Story. Why can’t I like the new Batman and the old one
I always felt like in the youtube series, it almost seemed like the Backrooms were the "deleted bin" for reality. Like a memory cache, where temporary files go, waiting to be over written. Each time a memory is created, the old ones disfigure and dissolve into obscurity. Never gone but, forgotten. The wording in this trailer makes me think that might be accurate.
The crazy thing is the fact that this all stemmed from a single photo years ago turned into a movie witha huge fanbase and created lore that keeps getting bigger and more complex such as all the levels and people and creatures it is really crazy
@GP22855 the wiki isn't slop it Is just people adding to the lore of something they find cool I mean it may be different but is quite similar in some areas
For those who are confused, the film is about a phenomenon that begins occurring around the world. Since 1989, the number of missing persons reports have begun steadily spiking. The disappearances are being covered up by a government agency that is responsible for wearing thin the barrier between our world and some other strange dimension. People and objects begin "falling" through the floor, and become stuck in this terrifying endless sprawling structure, filled with moldy carpet, buzzing fluorescent lights, and sickly yellow wallpaper. Even more terrifying, is the idea that this place might be ALIVE. And even worse, if you fall in, you might not be alone. A lot of that is only tangentially true but it gets the idea across in a way that I think they can understand to be terrifying. This film is a continuation of a web series by RUclipsr Kane Pixels, which is in turn inspired by an old internet urban legend that originated on 4chan, kind of like Slender Man. I'm very excited to see what Kane does next now that he has a full studio and professional crew backing him.
Followed Kane Pearson when he made the Attack on Titan historical footage video at 15 years old. His name started rising after he created the Found Footage Backrooms video, and he has now caught A24’s attention as a director at just 18. We need more major studios to give opportunities and platforms to young talents like him.
To think this all started because of weird places in source games, games from the 2000's - 2010's, 4chan posts, and vivid liminal spaces we recall from our collective memories is incredible. A place that shouldn't exist even though we kept remembering them. Thanks Kane, I can't wait to see this.
It doesn't matter where I watch this, at home in broad daylight or walking alone at night, this makes my flesh creep and all my hairs want to stand on end. Absolutely outstanding.
His voice gets deeper as the trailer progresses. Could it be an illusion of rapid aging for the amount of time the interviewee has spent in the backrooms? Could it be more than one individual giving a similar recount of their experience in the backrooms? Could it be that the man actually spent an incredibly long time there and has made it out to share his recount of his traumatic journey? Or could he be a scientist working for A-Sync who has spent decades unraveling the mystery of the backrooms? I guess we'll have to find out in May...
Okay before people go crazy YES ENTITIES, the point of the backrooms from the very beginning is the fear of the unknown, we don’t know what is in there and if its no entities it would be boring as heck, “oo look at this room”, “oo this one is cooler”. The entire point is to overwhelm and scare you not make you go insane thats part the point.

You love to see a game dev thriving. So happy for you homie your game is dope! I've streamed it for people on discord many times. ❤
Wtf that is awesome
Hey I've seen ur game thru Vanoss. He's so obsessed with it 😂
“Because I needed money and the only way I could get that was by not using my own original ideas. Thank you, Kane Pixels. Or should I say, thank you Anonymous user on 4chan for even coming up with the Backrooms.”*
Fixed it for you. 👍
A random renovation photo from 2 decades ago sparked a 4chan creepypasta, a whole fandom, and now a full feature length movie. Butterfly effect in full swing.
All roads leads to 4chan
Just realized how many internet cultural things came from 4Chan. SCP is from there as well
@MassiveDaftPunkFanbefore it got ruined by people making stories just for the sake of making characters op instead of being scary
It's just a natural progression of related events. That's not butterfly effect.
@MassiveDaftPunkFan especially before taken by MAGA peoples, now it's dormant and irrelevant
That dude on 4chan who came up with this must feeling insane rn
Wherever he is, I am sure he is proud of it lol
@ДамирМеталгир I think I know where he is…
@99albino he's back in the rooms, huh...
@ДамирМеталгир say that again...
@Jacalysticbigb00m he's back in the rooms, huh...
"I found these....rooms."
"Where did you find them?"
"In the back."
say that again?
*credits roll*
@squishy-tomato Say that again
@Creasty2089that again
@Porgsandsuffedits again
He did it.
3 years in the making.
We're all so proud of you Kane. Congratulations.
I'M CRYING IT'S SO PEAK
This is gonna be so good I'm just hoping it's actually going to be somewhat 100 percent accurate to the original lore, monsters, and tapes witch it might be.
For real nex, for real.
So true man
@InterstellarProductions25 i heard the lifeform will be in it so yeah
Props to them for actually going in there, filming and then escaping to post it
lol I died reading this -
@FakeryOSChow did you die
they js did
@bluboyd3637noclipped into the backrooms
@bluboyd3637he ain't replying no more😟😔
"Aw man. We're back to the rooms!"
"Say that again..."
*clips into the ground and fall in the backrooms*
*Looks around*
"Well that just happened!"
it's fantastic..
"We are so back... rooms." - John Backrooms
It looks like some king of *BACK ROOMS*
Is your knowledge base so small and insipid that this is all you can come up with
When the rooms said "vvvvvvVVVVRAWP"
......I felt that 🥹
EXACTLY the type of creative *teaser* cinematography I was hoping for
Me too. You can really tell they did a good job with the design of the rooms
Right?! It's got that awful Adult Swim's 'This House Has People In It' vibe
Kane cooked because nobody in the industry knows how to make these rooms shot actually look like the original backroom image. They got the right guy to do it.
@coconut7490 i present to you: kauffman
all jokes aside this still looks fantastic and bro if kauffman was actually in on the movie itself dude omg it might be the #1 faithful backrooms adaptation
Kane is talented. just have to wait if his directing is good
John Backrooms: "I need to get out of these backrooms."
"Say that again."
I'm going dressed as John Backrooms himself.
"What are we, some kinda Backrooms?"
It's backrooming time!
Let's bring back, the rooms. The backrooms
Can't wait to see the whole theatre full of people wearing hazmat suit
Instead of "CHICKEN JOCKEY!!!" they'll just be random fucking people doing random shit in hazmat suits.
@thanosthethiccfarmer1850 Scanning people with weird machines and taking samples😂
@kangh03 "Show me your ID" xD
@thanosthethiccfarmer1850 crab rave
This would be really funny actually (And way more harmless than the fucking CHICKEN JOCKEY thing)
The director is not old enough to drink. Bro is winning.
Actually the most fascinating interpretation of the Backrooms I’ve seen yet, it replicates rooms over and over, operating like a sort of "brain" slowly forgetting details until the room doesn't even resemble the original anymore.
"Dementia Rooms"
Like dementia or Alzheimer’s
seems like dementia wich could be a reference to the album i forgot the name of that is 6 hours long so theres a chance its a burning memory is inside of the film
That's exactly what it is
@kl_grim darude/sandstorm, great album, check it out
Remember this ALL originated from ONE 4chan image with a string of text, now it's a movie 💀
Genius can come from anywhere.
@taiya001 correct!
It's not like Kane made that 4chan post. It was an anonymous user, and it was a joke. Kane simply used the idea... stole it even...
this guy knows ball
As Gusteau said: “Anyone can cook.”
this whole trailer was made in blender except for the last shot, being the actual Backrooms which is a real set.
did you read that somewhere? would be cool to checkout
@eggsailorThe dude pulled it out of his balls lol
They actually noclipped the cast and crew into the Backrooms to get the last shot, trust me bro.
Not true
@eggsailor Kane confirmed it on Kane's Facility.
TRAILER IN 45 MINUTES
"The more times it remembers something the less it does"
That's certainly an eerie analogy for how our memories are never truly the same no matter how hard we try to recall them as before.
or could it be something like the saying "rose-tinted glasses"?
Ivan beck reference ;)
pretty much sums up Generation Loss, no?
From a tech perspective I thought it might be referencing how context Windows work with llms
I think its also referring to kanes video “I remember”
From random 4chan image to a fking movie
Might actually be the first ever movie directly connected to 4chan
@Orange_Boiiiithere was a Bane-parody p0rno based on a 4chan suggestion from like 2012 or 2013
@O@Orange_Boiiiiwhat a time to be alive
@Orange_Boiiii i mean documentaries may count
lol, backrooms commercial movie before GTA VI
I cannot remember the last time in my life where I watched a teaser or trailer over and over again because of how excited I was to see a movie.
SAME!
SAMEEEE
I can. Just recently. I've watched the Project Hail Mary trailer a dozen times. I've read the book so I know how good it is. The Backrooms will return in Avengers: Doomsday
Normal avengers movie, but during one of the MCU slap humor shots, a characters teleport fails and they end up there. Oh and the films fun score becomes quieter until it goes away entirely.
@chocolate_maned_wolfA good analysis as well as people getting less of a point of making that joke.
And they even have a mcu actor in this movie
very clever 😅
Avengers: Roomsday
I can't believe Kane Pixels is only 6 years old and making movies already. What a legend 🔥
he’s a wittle babey
googoo gaagaa
He's older. You have to remove your Pedo self from the equation.
Truly one of the creators of our time
I'm 6 years old!!!!!
I'm sure the guy who took the photo of the backrooms must feel like Oppenheimer when he sees what his photo has become
but in a good way
Imagine taking a photo of a random soon to be RC track in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and later seeing a full feature length movie made about it
plot twist: you're the guy that took the photo
"Now I am become Back, creator of Rooms."
The current crossover between RUclips and traditional entertainment is so cool.
“I can’t believe we’re back… back in these rooms…”
Absolute cinema
Say that again
"What are we in, some sort of backrooms?"
First, we back. Then, we room.
"You could say we were back in rooms"
The idea of the Backrooms somehow experiencing human infrastructure, generating it from memory (loosely speaking, the backrooms probably isn't a conscious thing), then endlessly self-referencing its own memory of it is such a sick idea and fits the vibe perfectly. Like an AI training on its own regurgitated material over and over and over until it strays so far from the original it's nearly unrecognisable
Жаль только что там, скорее всего, не будет уровней😢
@Chesnok-je8oswell hopefully not honestly. That would potentially be a little much for the film. By the idea I was talking about though it'd make more sense if all the levels were just sort of mashed together as one big level.
Something that WOULD be really cool is if there were levels but you go down, never up, and the more you go down the more it resembles architecture from further and further back in human history until you get to endless dusty halls of mud bricks
Truly the modern day Limbo.
This is basically the effect Generation loss if you want a simpler way to explain it :]
The concept of called "recursion"
I love how the new concept revolves around how the complex generates rooms without context, I CANT wait for this movie to come out!!
Me too I was confused at first but it makes sense
@Aashka_The_Mysticthe RUclips series demonstrates this very well, chairs or tables with stretched dimensions, doors and windows that lead to nowhere, even houses or entire buildings generated clipped into each other. I really like this concept over the “level” system tbh
@EXtreamiumyeah but I was thinking it was just random, not that it was trying to copy actual places, but this teaser implies that the multiple levels are worse and worse copies of reality, like a degradation of memory
My theory is that when Async opened the portal to the dimension, the dimension immediately created the complex by trying to copy what humans do
@inooxActually, Async didnt create the complex, they just happened to discover it
The Backrooms are a Spatial Representation of Executive Dysfunction. It is the architecture of a mind that has lost its ability to sequence, filter, and exit its own internal loops.
Can't wait for John Backroom's infamous line "it's backroomin' time"
And he kills all the monster doom slayer style
"The underworld" 🦀
hopefully it's the last moment of your life.
"I'll be back, room."
This movie better make a backroomillion dollars!
"The more times it remembers something, the less it does."
That gives all new meaning to the "monsters" we've seen. Fragmented, distorted memory shadows of people trapped in the past. That's so creepy but so amazing as a concept!
Yeah that’s truly the hits the ideas of what Backrooms truly is but expanded
I am so excited that A24 gave Kane Parsons complete creative control to really bring his vision to life. He's had a solid idea in his head for the past 5 years and A24 knew exactly what it was. This movie is gonna be exactly what we're hoping for.
they are made of mutated bacteria though
@Fr00stee what about still life? the thing from found footage 3 i mean
@jaytoasteringthe corpse?
20 years old and already directing his first feature with A24? MAJOR props to Kane!
It's A24 lmao pretty much the bridge between wealthy film school and film studio.
I’m not jealous… okay I’m a little jealous but it gives me hope
He's really something, i can't wait to see what he did with that movie.
@checkurwristwatch9739 lately all their films have been kind of shit with A lister actors. @AnvilPicturesconvert to Judaism and you’ll have a chance bud!!!
We got a backrooms film from A24 before gta 6
actually the entire idea of the backrooms originated after GTA V came out and it's now being turned into a feature film and we're STILL waiting for GTA VI
You get EVRYTHING before Half-Life 3
Good
@MinekEzQMthere will be no half-life 3
I feel like gta 6 would be already outdated by the time it finally releases
Genuinely the best explanation for the Backrooms I’ve seen yet. Sticking to the original lore of it being the manifestation of hazy, shifting memories of old, smelly, yet familiar office spaces
THE BACKROOMS MOVIE MUST NOT BE IN A SEPERATE UNIVERSE
@2-unskippableadsto be honest I wouldn't mind it being separate since the back room sometimes deal with the confusing of time and day and sometimes the people aren't real....
Please remember, it's all still man-made no matter what canon or universe. That will probably drive everything, imo.
You're smelly.
@Treyday916 sick idea gng I really hope they do
0:39 Peak line
Its actually encapsulates the backrooms concept
Fr ❤️🔥
This shot looks so sick. I'm so hyped for this!!
Perfect line for a film like this
@guillep4826yea

its just a burning memory
@Chimpssholy SHIT i haven’t heard that in literal years and it makes so much more sense now
@Chimpssmy god
heartaches... heartaches...
there better not be any entities in this movie!!!11!! i wanna watch a guy walk around for possibly 3 hours straight with zero interruptions!!1! i totally know how good films are made!!!!1

@Kamiloffical2026 I think he is being sarcastic, but i agree.
i like how the chair in the second iteration is significantly larger than the original. reminds me of how things seem bigger in our memories, especially childhood memories, while we were really just smaller
+ the vibrant lighting and slight color changes making it appear nostalgic as others have mentioned which is really cool to me
This would have never happened if some dude didn't take a photo in Oshkosh Wisconsin.
As a dev behind "Backrooms: No Escape"
this trailer just gave us so much motivation. We’re eating GOOD this year.
holy shit i played ur game
Yay i will try it
Great game btw
I actually played it with some friends, great demo guys good luck
Good job enjoyed the demo
The movie where the walls are the main character
The walls may also be your enemies or allies.
If you'll hate the protags for doing stupid things in this movie, then yes. I'll root for the monsters too.
12 year old kid made this idea and now we have movie of it lol
"And the more times it remembers something, the less it does." FIRE line. 🔥🔥🔥
A24 and kane pixels is a deadly combo
Even blumhouse is working on this
Son 😭
@prsprprspr not blumhouse it's not jason Blum, it's atomic monster which is james Wan lol so same first name haha
I guess
@paisleydj_in what world is Jason and James the same name? The Backrooms?
sorry babe can't sleep right now A24 just drop a Backroom teaser
Maybe the real backrooms were the friends we made along the way
It’s coming👁️
Why tf is siren head in one of your video
Hello
Peak is arriving
Found you!
Yo it’s you! I love your videos!
"The more it remembers, the less it does" goes pretty hard. One can only imagine what would happen if that place kept remembering the Mandrill Maze.
I am insanely intrigued to see what weird and wonderful things these backrooms contain, my favorite part is the surreal uncomfortable nature of it changing and being under investigation.
Yup, sold...still getting that vibe.
IKR!! THEY LOOK SO GOOD!!!
@christofer_pezetI'm glad Kane made this 🥲
@StreamKickFlip Yes..... don't care bout all the other u tbers who jumped the wagon and added their lil' fan fiction to Backrooms..... Kane. Full stop.
@free322001Wait I don't understand what your comment means
@StreamKickFlip There are countless others who have added their own Backroom stories on U Tbe, like fans or wanna bes, wanting to be part of it. It is not theirs. It is Kane's.
When the atoms align so perfectly you get out of the place and make a movie about it
I found this fun fact, there were 8 layers of floors in the trailer and 8 symbolises feeing trapped
I'm extremely excited it's 3 months away but I'm simultaneously astounded this didn't get even a peep of news word or promo before now
Sorry you missed it but I heard two or three years ago and have been periodically checking since.
@chocolate_maned_wolf which is a smart and creative move by the way.
and the best part...this movie is connected to the other parts of the series
Yes!!
Bro, right now we got movie about backrooms before GTA 6
@otterisley1113 oh wow. I never even know that lol. Thank you 😁
Might be an alien
Тогда у него деменция
i love how when the floors go up the sound goes from my left ear to my right
May 29th is the date that we see the moist carpet, the yellowish coloured wall paper and hear the buzzing of the Florecent lights on the big screen...
John Backrooms: "Yo bro, I'm in the house's backrooms."
Backrooms movie before gta 6
Unfunny joke
@davecorsairfunny joke
Unfunny joke
@TheRealDisengaged unfunni
@capy-stargazes- funny joke
"that is not a f--king Parsons"
Type of movie where nobody survives at the end
1 must, to tell the tale!
What if the monster ends up being a deformed memory of the narrator as the rooms start to remember him less and less, eventually no longer resembling a human
Holy shit, I don't really like backrooms monsters but this is an amazing idea on how the monsters were created.
That's always been my theory. The monsters are other people lost. They are degenerating, losing their humanity but not realising it. And they are chasing you, not to kill you but to ask you for help.
Better than the smoke monster on Lost.
That’s similar to a scene in the film Anihilation. A copy of Natalie Portman’s character gets generated but it only vaguely looks like a human.
Hold on, his writing is this fire?
This is so fucking awesome, man. Average cinema-goers aren't gonna know what to expect from this, and Kane Pixel/Backrooms fans have an inkling of what to expect. What a time to be alive.
Yo, people are so heavy on dividing everyone. Why can’t I like the avengers movies and the backrooms movie? Why am I not allowed to like the new Superman and the new Toy Story.
Why can’t I like the new Batman and the old one
Bro thinks he’s niche for liking the backrooms 😂✌️🥀
@HalfManStudios I mean if you like the new superman movie you aren’t a superman fan
@Imzamacee lol
@Jza-GZa40k but the new Superman was actually really good. Did you not see him beat up the Jews that was sweet….
I know this came from a creepy pasta but this reminds me of house of leaves so much. Can't wait to see it.
So happy an actual horror film company is making this instead of Blumhouse again
Thank you, Oshkosh Wisconsin!
Thank you, Rohner.
0:49 “do u have plans on may 29??”
yes.
Dang, that would suck. Don’t want to miss seeing that in theaters!
Good day to be a Backrooms' fan
The crazy thing is the fact that this all stemmed from a single photo years ago turned into a movie witha huge fanbase and created lore that keeps getting bigger and more complex such as all the levels and people and creatures it is really crazy
Да
except this is completely different from the wiki slop and it's Kane's own original lore.
@GP22855 the wiki isn't slop it Is just people adding to the lore of something they find cool I mean it may be different but is quite similar in some areas
@HW-Plays-EST23 The wiki sucks
The sound of those flickering lights. Goosebumps.
The sound of those fluorescent lights just scream backrooms to me! xDD
"The more times it remembers something, the less it does" That's an eerie line right there that perfectly describes the backrooms 🔥
Son 😭
@christofer_pezet Dad, is that you?
If this movie has the same quality of CGI as The Oldest View, it will be peak
It'll likely be even better considering Kane is directing the movie and has a whole team now
SCP anime, backrooms movie and GTA 6, goated year fr
Congratulations to Kane Pixels and all of the actors and all the people who helped out to make this flim, I hope this flim is great!
Oh its going to be. This was only a teaser but you can see how well made the rooms are.
My friend: "Can you come help me out in the back of the room, please?"
Me: "Say that again."
I’m watching this on my porch in broad daylight and it’s still sent chills down my spine.
Followed Kane Pearson when he made the Attack on Titan historical footage video at 15 years old. His name started rising after he created the Found Footage Backrooms video, and he has now caught A24’s attention as a director at just 18. We need more major studios to give opportunities and platforms to young talents like him.
He’s 20 now
Can you imagine if we get an Oldest View film
@JohnVancethat would definitely be a good watch fr
@JohnVanceOr maybe a People Still Live Here movie? He hasn't done much on it yet, but it's already looking good.😅
@Ismail-b2n8h Oh yeah I want more from that series. Honestly he doesn’t seem to be able to make stuff I don’t want to see
I love how this thing went from an internet legend to a whole entire movie
“The rooms are back.”
“They’re the… backrooms.”
To think this all started because of weird places in source games, games from the 2000's - 2010's, 4chan posts, and vivid liminal spaces we recall from our collective memories is incredible. A place that shouldn't exist even though we kept remembering them. Thanks Kane, I can't wait to see this.
PLEASE don’t mess this up for my sanity. I’ve been a backrooms fan since 2019.
what
It's Kane pixels movie so it will be done right.
@toxictrippthis. He hasn’t failed us yet!
Looking at the trailer it's seems like peak cinema
Same
"All these rooms."
that's what he said.
I love that the room becomes more abstracted the deeper you go
WERE NOCLIPPING WITH THIS MOVIE
Idk about you all, I havent been this excited to see a movie in the theater for a long time!
BY THE MAN HIMSELF IS CRAZY
“where did you last see him”
“back in those rooms, I think”
what, like in some kind of back room or something?
"Oh, just in the back rooms, he'll be fine."
This finna be so peak
I'm going to heavily assume that it's going to obviously be
Rated R
I just pray this is a POV movie, Kane is great with that
It doesn't matter where I watch this, at home in broad daylight or walking alone at night, this makes my flesh creep and all my hairs want to stand on end. Absolutely outstanding.
It’s unsettling. Like, on a visceral level. I love it!
I guess we'll have to find out in May...
yeah
Longer than you'd think...
holy shit nice catch
it also seems like the trailer progresses from cgi to an actual set in the final shot
cringe
Damn, they got Chiwetel Ejiofor as the lead!?
And on top of that, this is a Backrooms film from Kane Pixels and A24. This is going to be peak.
And renate
Okay before people go crazy YES ENTITIES, the point of the backrooms from the very beginning is the fear of the unknown, we don’t know what is in there and if its no entities it would be boring as heck, “oo look at this room”, “oo this one is cooler”. The entire point is to overwhelm and scare you not make you go insane thats part the point.
