I just began thrifting about 6 years ago. I have a love for mid century glass and decor. I have an extensive collection of vintage holiday figurines and decorations. Now I find junk . The thrifting experience has been very disappointing. I think yard sales and estate sales are the best bet. I also enjoy small businesses like yours. I hope to visit you soon. 🤗
Regarding thrifting and the quality of goods bought in the not so distant past has decreased. I believe that we have come into an era of disposable everything. I remember when pens and lighters became disposable in the 70's and how wierd that felt. There doesnt seem to be any quality goodies on the shelves anymore in retail. Therefore the trickle down effect is waning for thrift shops. We're buying things that aren't even worthy to be called heirlooms to our children. They are buying into commercialism that says new is better and that we need to rotate our decor each season. Even clothing is polluting our world by cluttering it up because of having to keep up with fashion. Sorry the was a rant Love your channel ❣ look forward to it every day 💕
Everyone watching all the videos out there and how much they resell for. People are holding on to things. I have a lot of stuff I decided to keep and resell.
That cubic or optic candy dish at the beginning isnt for a candle if it doesnt have a hole at the top. i mean, you could put a candle in it, but the lid would have to be off. :)
As a long time thrifter. I find the thrift stores have raised their prices and the quality of goods is not there anymore. We seek out estate sales, auctions and flea markets for better stuff to sell and use.

Shelves are empty around here in the Atlanta area and the prices are double. Garage sales here are asking crazy prices also.

Have you tried the church thrift stores. A lot of Catholic thrift shops out there. 😊
It seems to me, if prices are so affected by resellers, that they would be lower rather than higher.
