Eugene has really grown, I lived there in the late 70's, and used to go to a restaurant named 'the Zoo' ...It was funky and cool, and would still fit in w/that neighborhood as it is today.
I lived in that area for a couple of years in the late 70’s and at that time it didn’t feel that safe. I lived on 5 th street up the alley. I’m glad it’s better now. I lived in Eugene/Springfield area for 35 yrs. now I’m in a smaller town in Oregon. The bus system is great in Eugene/Springfield. But not here because it’s a small town.
Our winters (especially this one so far) are fairly mild. It might have dipped below 32°F once or twice overnight, but generally during the day it is anywhere from 40-60°F. We've had a couple high 60's days. It rains, a lot, because it's the PNW, so we stay lush and very green. The weather is one of the main reasons I moved here.
That was great ! I loved seeing Vanilla Jill's again (loved that place) and that fun area again and all the areas I walked around... I soooooo enjoyed that town when traveling there ... did you by any chance check out The Wandering Goat ? Another great place there...✌
Thanks for the tour! Looks like a really cool place. And that store...yes, pls. :) I use Oatly oatmilk in my coffee, but agree that soy is the next best option. I find the other plant milks too watery.
@@MyBasicJourney awe thanks Ms. MBJ...Someone very special lives there.... I am living vicariously through your travels..everytime I pass a nice van or box truck i dream of conversions..keep living the freedom dream young lady ..wishing you light strength and peace🌞🕊💪

What an adorable neighborhood! 😊 Thanks for the tour 🤩
Love the music, especially starting at about 4:12.
Grass looks so green. I’m jealous! And 👍 for a bagel shop with vegan butter and cream cheese 🥯
That's one of my favorite parts of the PNW. It rains so much that the winters are very green and lush. Love it!! ❤
Really great neighborhood sites. i love Justin's peanut butter cups too.
Right?! They're so delicious!!😍😊Thank you.
Just moved to Eugene a month ago and live at the edge of the Whit on West 6th Avenue. I shop at the Red Barn and Brun’s.
Love Brun's 💯

My BFF retired to Eugene, OR, and I retired to Shiro, TX. It's so pretty where she and you are at.
Nice to see Oregon. I'm headed there April 12 to 20th to Medford.

I might have to try using oat! You're the second person to tell me they like Oatly more than soy! ❤
Is the neighborhood still safe? Thinking about doing van life in eugene
Very nice little section ..ever hear of troutdale? Anything interesting there?
Thanks! And yeah, I've been through troutdale. It's super close to Mt. Hood, so there's tons of outdoor activities near there. (:

Joey is upset, you didn't him any snacks
How much hotter is Eugene these days?
You say "hip and trendy", I say garbage everywhere
