I have taken pro classes and never knew about the $18 remote!
One tip I have is, if you tend to look a little tired or your eyes half opened...
    1. Line up your shot
    2. CLOSE your eyes
    3. Count to 3
    4. On three, OPEN your eyes as you take your photo. Your pupils dilate when you open your eyes, showing more of that pretty eye color and your eyes will always look more open and awake.

Well, if the pupils dilate, you see less of your iris, the coloured part, and more of the pupil (the central dark part)… 😉

Greetings from upper left USA. Great tips, Christi, especially #12. 🙂 I would add that smart watch users most likely have a camera app on their watch that's compatible with their phone. It should let you preview the photo view from your back camera on your watch to let you know you are in frame. It probably also lets you click a button on your watch or tap the watch screen to snap a pic or start akd stop a video. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note phone and a Samsung Galaxy watch and can do this with them. If i can with Samsung then im 99.9% sure it's also available with Apple. 😂 Speaking of Samsung Galaxy Note phone, if you have one you can use the click button on your S-pen to take a picture. Finally, many smart phones have voice control options available for the camera where you can set up a key word like "cheese". Saying that key word will trigger the camera app (if open) to snap a picture. 🙂

Genius video! Love this so much. Some great advice and tips all the way around. Love the pocket tripod and the blue tooth remote. Oh, and taking the photos from the backside, great idea. I always thought that front selfie mode makes me look weird...lol. ...and yes, I am totally guilty of the head tilt 😂 now time for me to practice. 😎

    Great ideas.
I try to remember to elongate my neck and bring my chin slightly forward. I try never to take pictures of anyone ucluding me straight on.

This was a great video. Something that I haven’t seen before. The only thing I would love to know is how you set up the camera to frame yourself. I know that just setting it on a tripod is not the end. Anyway, thanks for the tips.

My favorite pics of me are always spotaneous and non posed. Of course that means having a buddy take them helps.

If you use an Apple Watch, there is a built in camera remote that will start a 3 second timer before your phone takes a picture.

You can also turn off the 3 second option on your Apple Watch so you can keep tapping to take multiple photos instead of waiting 3 seconds.

I was just about to mention this. It's likely my favorite use for the stylus. Everyone is always amazed when I use it when taking group selfies.

I take lots of pictures, then go through and delete the not-as-good duplicates while on planes or trains.
