Glad you enjoyed this, it's one of my favourite beers from Fuller's 👍
Yeah, a cracking Ale and a bargain at that price. Definitely one to stock up with for the winter. It's nice to enjoy a beer that others enjoy for the same reasons. 👍🏻
Great review Sir. I think this one should really be treated like a Barley Wine in half pints, to accompany your session ale. But yes a absolutely great Winter Ale to sip at Christmas time.
Yeah, a nice drop for a cold winters evening and good as a rich chaser for a lighter beer.
I agree with you about Fullers, I've been drinking their beers, mainly ESB on handpump, since I got into real ale since the seventies. You've reminded me aswell, I'll have to get a Belgian Scotch Ale like a Gordons, as I haven't had one for a long while.
Yeah, an underrated brewery that is taken for granted. We spend too much time praising other countries beers, but ignore quality English ales. Yeah, a Belgian Scotch ale is a nice beer. 🙂
By heck u got this at a good price...its a better of an ale, always have an ESB if its on the bar( not so much LP) lovely malts in Golden Pride like u said..Nice one Graeme👏👏
Yeah a belter of an ale indeed. Yeah, it's a bargain at that price and one to stock up with for winter. I like London Pride, but I also prefer ESB more. Nice to have a beer that I can give a good score. Cheers Dave 👍🏻
Samuel Smith organic Lager is tasty, although I am not really a lager drinker; however I do appreciate a nice one in the warmer days of Summer.
I haven't tried that one, I will give it a go. I'm not a lager drinker either, far better beers out there. Although the organic bit concerns me!
@@thebarmen5640 It's not a trendy hype. All their base beers are organic. They do a fantastic Pale Ale, English style, and An Indian Ale again no grapefruit, very traditional, English Ale
@@johntheunready8331 I have seen them about and I have tried the Pale Ale. I will get some of their other beers to review.
A Fine Ale indeed! Brewed by their old Manchester Head Brewer if memory serves me and it has a Manchester feel somehow. Have you done the Fullers Brewery Tour? One to do if you're down in our London Town
Yeah, a really nice ale and seemingly overlooked. Yeah, I did the brewery tour many years ago. 👍🏻
I think I’ll go hunting for this one…
You should sir, it is a very nice brew. It being Fuller's, it should make that task fairly easy. 🙂
Great with Cheese.
I can imagine it would be. It is also a great cure for an empty glass. I will need to try it with some cheese. 👍🏻
