I love how you walk us through how you pick your paper and all through the layout process. Thanks for the inspiration. I sliced my finger to the bone trying to cut something off one of my embellishments that I didnt want. It went down underneath my fingernail and it had to be removed before they could stitch it up. Bless your sweet family.
Love, love, love your layouts!!!! Love your thought process and how you determine how the layout works for you and your photos. Crafting accident--I was cutting with an X-acto knife and ruler and I had my finger off the ruler and almost cut the side of my index finger off. It required 3 stitches and I could not scrap for about 10 days! I also cut my finger on the trimmer one time too and I bled all over the place so I can relate!
Thank you Lori, I am so glad you are enjoying the layouts. Wow 3 sutures, I think you are in first place for the most stitches from a crafting injury. We get so focused on our project, who has time to watch for fingers in the way?
What a delightful layout with happy memories from a 'snow' very winter storm!!! Paper pack colors and patterns match the photos like they were made for them. Love how your son and his friends helped folks stuck in the snow. The 'Rescue Ranger' is one cool truck. You always do a nice job. I've been sewing for 65+ years--worst accident was 'sewing my finger' with my sewing machine while guiding the fabric!
I absolutely love this layout!!!! As a momma of boys in a place where we typically get snow, I was laughing when I saw the pictures and even more so when you told your story. YEP, definitely something my boys would do... LOL
Hi Erin, I’m rewatching some of your videos and this one made me so envious of your weather! We are having one of our usual March heatwaves here in South Australia and I am just longing for winter. I dont do well in 40 degrees, we have evaporative air con and the house gets so humid so no scrapbooking is happening at the moment. So I’m just enjoying watching some of your videos and getting inspiration for when the cooler weather comes. You are my favourite RUclipsr and I really appreciate the way you talk us through your thought process as you scrap. Give that boy of yours a hug from me, he’s obviously been well brought up and has a kind heart. Tfs 👍🥰
It’s amazing how snowfalls can play havoc with daily routines. Love the story and the layouts and those snowflakes stamped across the corner of the page. The pages are full of interesting elements and your thought process of what goes where❤
Such a terrific layout! I love how you put those snowflakes up in the corner to fill in some of the white space and then used just a touch of the same on the other page. I'll have to remember that! As far as craft room injuries, I can't recall any off the top of my head but I did prevent what could have been a bad one. A few years ago my oldest granddaughter who was around 7 at the time got down in my craft room when I wasn't looking. When I caught up with her she was by my big Fiskars guillotine paper trimmer with the arm up asking "What's this for?". I got her away from it quickly before she could get hurt and then put it away, up very high, before they came to visit after that. Earlier this year gave it away to a friend. 😬🤦♀
Thank you, I am glad the snowflake stamping inspired you. Grandma to the rescue! That must have been scary turning around to see her by the trimmer, kiddos do have a knack for finding trouble.
Another perfect layout!! My scrap room has cabinets set to a very comfortable standing height for me to work. Directly under my work surface is an open space that I store a few plastic bins with excess stickers, etc. Last Christmas vacation I was literally crafting hard, I stupidly bent down and reached under towards the back of the space to get something and then promptly got up... Yeah, concussion from hitting the underside of my counter top.
Oh no, you must have been really focused on getting your crafting projects done before Christmas. I hope the knock to your noggin didn’t take you out too long. I know that hurts!
Love love love all of these layouts! So wonderful how talented you are ❤! . So my self accident in scrapbook room was I have a paper piercer and it was standing up in my cup with my pens, scissors etc. 1ST BIG MISTAKE.. 2ND mistake I Reached down into my cup and BAMMMM THE PIERCER WENT UNDER MY FINGERNAIL( first finger)!!!! It went so far in that I had to go to the emergency room. I kept trying to pull it out but couldn't. Every time I did it hurt like crazy! also blood kept squirting. The emergency team numbed my finger and removed the paper piercer. I had some nerve damage and lost my fingernail. my finger WAS VERY VERY Sensitive. Every time I moved my finger I could feel the throbbing and pain. FYI your hands and feet have just as much nerves as the face according to the Doctor. The nurse told me don't be surprised about how long it takes to heal. It took over 3 months to heal completely. 😢
Such a great layout. I love how you explain each step in precise detail. As far as accidents in your craft room, there are too many cuts and bruises to mention. I’m a bit of a klutz. Thanks so much for your insight.
Thank you for explaining your process for embellishing. The triangle flow from left to right was very helpful. I really struggle with placement and clustering.
I was sitting here watching you & trying to tell you to drop that photo as it looked so wrong & stuck out like a sore thumb floating up in the air when finally you answered my request & brought it down & wallah!! The effect was instantaneous cohesiveness & my OCD calmed down. 🤣🤣🤣 My desire to have things symmetrical or in perfect order
Haha, I am glad your OCD could relax once I repositioned the photo. It was going to be a single page and the journaling was meant to be there. It certainly didn’t work after adding the second page.
I love these pages and watching your thought process as you decide where to put each item on the page. I used to just stick all my paper and photos down then always want to move something. I now try to set them all out on the page like you do before adhering it all down. It makes life easier and I like my pages more when I feel like they are in balance. On to the subject of craft room injuries, I have lost count of the times I stick my paper piercer into the tip of my finger when using it to remove the stuck bits in my dies/die cuts. Thanks for sharing your pages and great tips for creating and hello from New Zealand.
I use an Exacto knife and metal ruler to cut my papers instead of a paper trimmer. While at a crop, I was talking and not paying attention. Cut the end of my thumb badly. So glad my CTMH consultant was sitting next to me with a supply of bandaids.
Ouch! There have been others in this comment section who had the same injury. Watch out for those Exacto knives! I think all of us crafters should have a mini first aid kit handy.
Another terrific page Erin. I always enjoy the little stories around your family. A few years ago we were scrapping in a community hall when a friend forgot her craft trolley was next to where she was sitting. She tripped over it and went down hard, tearing her rotor cuff in her shoulder. It was not quite how we thought our day would go and poor Lee had to have surgery. So look out for those trolley cases!
Well, I injured myself only once. And that was for Halloween :-) I was cutting some paper and then, suddenly, my brain decided to make a switch-off. At that second I cut my eye pupil with scissors. I had to wear an eye-patch for a few days but at the end everything was ok. :-) This layout is very beautiful. Thank you for the inspiration :-)
I was using my exacto knife. The type you put your finger thru. I put the lid on and didn’t realize I slid it across my thumb. I was straightening up and kept hearing something and it was the blood dripping onto my stack of papers! lol !
I love this layout. I think that the pic looks better even with the one on the next page. Good job! As far as injuries go, my newest one occurred last Monday. I was putting scrapbooks away, & one fell from a higher shelf. The edge of the heavy book sliced across my arm! It might not have been so bad except that I am at that age where your skin has gotten thinner. Talk about bleeding! It is 4 days later, & it is still bleeding through my bandaid. Yikes!
Let's see...I use our micro-tipped scissors for something like a lifter instead of their intended purpose. Of course, it flipped out and barbed my thumb down to and chipping my bone as well as a nerve...yep 15 yrs later, that thumb is STILL numb. 🤦♀️ ✂️ Darling layout!
Love your pages! How fun for the boys😂. I hv a Fiskars paper trimmer and cut my finger while lifting the arm and not paying attention 😢. Glad your finger is better. TFS
Hello Catherine, that is a great question. The Avery paper I use looks frosted because it is a matte finish. This helps it to disappear into the layout. Some have a shiny look and are more noticeable on the page. This is the exact product I use as well as several of my crafty friends. www.amazon.com/dp/B00006HUP7/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_1G2B5PAXBCE24NK3VRKJ?linkCode=ml2&tag=craftyconcept-20
Hello, do you mean adhesive on the stickers? I tap them with an anti static powder pouch. The powder will make them less sticky and you can temporarily move them around. You will then need to add glue when permanently adhering them. You can also stick them to your arm repeatedly until they pick up the oils from your skin.
The worst scrapbooking injury here was my teenage daughter sliced the tip of her finger almost off with a paper trimmer. A trip to ER and two stitches and I still don’t understand how she did it.
I love how you walk us through how you pick your paper and all through the layout process. Thanks for the inspiration. I sliced my finger to the bone trying to cut something off one of my embellishments that I didnt want. It went down underneath my fingernail and it had to be removed before they could stitch it up. Oh ouch 😣 that sounds like it was terribly painful!
Love, love, love your layouts!!!! Love your thought process and how you determine how the layout works for you and your photos. Love this layout!
I have a 10-year old grandson and i envy your outdoor life. He would love that kind of life.
Thank you! I am very grateful we live in the country.
What a delightful layout with happy memories from a 'snow' very winter storm!!! Paper pack colors and patterns match the photos like they were made for them. I've been sewing for 65+ years--worst accident was 'sewing my finger' with my sewing machine while guiding the fabric!
Thank you! That sounds so painful! I am imagining a needle straight through your finger thread and all 😣
I absolutely love this layout!!!! As a momma of boys in a place where we typically get snow, I was laughing when I saw the pictures and even more so when you told your story. YEP, definitely something my boys would do... LOL
Haha, boys will always find a way to make life more fun right?
Erin, such a lovely winter layout. Enjoyed watching your process. So inspiring. TFS
Hello Linda, I am so glad you enjoyed it!
What a wonderful young man to "patrol" the roads looking to help out stranded neighbors. Proud Mamas raised our Boys to be good Godly men 💙💪🏻
I really love that he drove you to work & to pick up your new 💙Products 📦 too!
Amen to that! My proudest moment from his snowy adventure was when he was offered tip money and turned it down.
Beautiful layout. I like how you talk through moving things around.
Thank you Paula, I hope hearing and seeing the process is helpful when creating your own layouts.

Beautiful pages. I so enjoyed your talk through the many design adjustments you made. You are an inspiring reacher. Thanks so much, Erin. ☃
Thank you, I am glad to know you enjoy hearing my thought process behind the details and design.
What a fantastic layout. Love the colours. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, blues and greens are my favorite!
It’s amazing how snowfalls can play havoc with daily routines. Love the story and the layouts and those snowflakes stamped

Thank you! Yes the simplest chore becomes a big effort when you factor snow into the equation.

I love how you mix and match so many stamp sets. Wonderful page!
Thank you! I am always excited to put those older stamp sets to work.

Oh my goodness!!! OUCH! I was cringing as I read that, I can’t imagine how badly that hurt. 😬 😱
Loved this layout, loved the story, no snow here!👍🌏
Thank you! The snow is pretty but after a few days of it I wish it would melt and go away 😂
Such a great layout. I love how you explain each step in precise detail. As far as accidents in your craft room, there are too many cuts and bruises to mention. I’m a bit of a klutz. Thanks so much for your insight.
Thank you! I have days I am more accident prone than others lol 😂
We still don’t have any snow in Northern Alberta which is unusual for this time of year. Love your videos.
We are warmer this year too and I am okay with that 😂
Thank you for explaining your process for embellishing. The triangle flow from left to right was very helpful. I really struggle with placement and clustering.
You are so welcome and I am glad it was helpful!

I love the colour palate of the christmas bells one, but they're all gorgeous
Thank you, I am so glad you enjoyed them all 😃

Thank you Susan. I do that too, paper piercers are so sharp. I should keep a first aid kit in the craft room lol 😂
Great Photos and story! I love the colour scheme of course!
Thank you my friend! You can’t go wrong with blues and greens!
I use an Exacto knife and metal ruler to cut my papers instead of a paper trimmer. While at a crop, I was talking and not paying attention. Cut the end of my thumb badly. So glad my CTMH consultant was sitting next to me with a supply of bandaids.

Yikes😢
I learn so much from you about embellishing and using stamps on your layouts, thank you for the inspiration. This page layout is beautiful!
Thank you Diane, I am so glad to hear that. I love adding in stamped images to my embellishments to help tell the story.
Another terrific page Erin. I always enjoy the little stories around your family. Oh no, your poor friend, that is terrible! I hope she was able to get back to crafting after her shoulder healed.
She sure did Erin. Nothing keeps we scrappers down for long!@@CraftyConceptswithErin
You are so good adding to your layouts
Love it as usual ❤
Thank you so much Marsha! I love being able to add stamped images to help tell the story.

Oh my that sounds painful, glad it healed quickly! At least it was around Halloween and the eye patch could be part of your costume lol.
Omg😮 sounds horrible.. hope you are healed
@@reneelemos765 I am. Everything is ok.
I was using my exacto knife. The type you put your finger thru. I put the lid on and didn’t realize I slid it across my thumb. I was straightening up and kept hearing something and it was the blood dripping onto my stack of papers! lol !
Oh nooooo, not the papers!!! 😂 Those things are so sharp and you don't always feel it.
I love this layout. I think that the pic looks better even with the one on the next page. Good job! As far as injuries go, my newest one occurred last Monday. Oh no, I am sorry the book attacked you, that sounds like it hurt. I hope you heal up quickly!
I love your layouts. You make everything so beautiful. You definitely inspire me. Thank you.
Thank you so much! That is so kind of you to say.
Let's see...I use our micro-tipped scissors for something like a lifter instead of their intended purpose. Of course, it flipped out and barbed my thumb down to and chipping my bone as well as a nerve...yep 15 yrs later, that thumb is STILL numb. 🤦♀️ ✂️
Darling layout!
Oh nooooo, you really gouged yourself good. Darn those sharp little scissors!
Always get great inspiration from watching you!
Thank you Ruby I appreciate hearing that!
Love your pages! How fun for the boys😂. I hv a Fiskars paper trimmer and cut my finger while lifting the arm and not paying attention 😢. Glad your finger is better. TFS
Darn those paper trimmers, dangerous but a necessity!
Great layout and story!
Thanks so much Kati!
Great layout!
Thanks so much Jennifer!
Love this! A great story too!
Thank you Rhonda, I am so you enjoyed it!
Always getting paper cuts…why are there so many nerve endings in our fingers🤦♀️. Love your layout, Erin!
Haha, right? Paper cuts are the worst!
I really like this layout! I cut my finger with my scissors!
Thank you, I am so glad you like how it turned out. I have cut my finger with scissors too many times to count 😂
Love your layout and paper pack collection. My worse injury would be from my glue gun.
Those glue guns can be vicious!
I love your work. I am working on a project that will need typed journaling. Why do you use frosted sticker paper rather than clear? Thanks!
I wonder which I should buy. I would appreciate some advice. Thank you.
Hello Catherine, that is a great question. The Avery paper I use looks frosted because it is a matte finish. This helps it to disappear into the layout. Thank you so much. That makes complete sense.
How do you remove the adhesive from the stamps? I see the benefit in doing so to play around with where it can go.
Hello, do you mean adhesive on the stickers? I tap them with an anti static powder pouch. The powder will make them less sticky and you can temporarily move them around. You will then need to add glue when permanently adhering them. You can also stick them to your arm repeatedly until they pick up the oils from your skin.
@CraftyConceptswithErin Yes I meant stickers, sorry about that, and thank you for the response.
The worst scrapbooking injury here was my teenage daughter sliced the tip of her finger almost off with a paper trimmer. A trip to ER and two stitches and I still don’t understand how she did it.
Oh wow, a trip to the ER and sutures, that is a bad one! Those paper trimmers can be vicious!
I trip over my stash on the floor or step on my cat sleeping in the middle of the room.
It’s my dog for me, he lays right in the middle despite having his own nice bed under the table lol 😂
Craft room injuries? Two words: paper snips. 😮
Sounds painful and I can relate! 😆
