"Moby-Dick is my favorite book of the Bible." Thank you; I plan to quote that often! (I love Moby-Dick!!!) And, according to Amazon, "The Tunnel" will be released on July 1, 2025, so something to look forward to!
Also waiting for Dalkey. Would be nice if people didn't collect copies of The Tunnel.
I have a copy of The Tunnel on my shelf that I'm hoping to squeeze in a read of by end of year.
I was also searching for a copy of The Tunnel - I emailed Dalkey and bought a copy of the US edition from them. They’re also reissuing it next year
Well done. I believe reading Omensetter's Luck is almost necessary to appreciate the writing style of The Tunnel.
If you have time, and desire, for more Gass, I'd recommend "The Pedersen Kid" next.
They are supposed to rerelease the tunnel in July I think.
It's funny when TL;DR and the like slip into our verbal speech 🤗
You talk about typical names... The protagonist's name is Brackett 🤣
One of the worst things I've ever read. The style obliterates the substance.
