If you wipe the bias out of your eyes you can clearly see Spence was trying to outbox porter and once he realized he couldn’t then he decided to step in and start trading. He was trying to stay on the outside and use his jab but porter kept closing the distance and getting off at close range and in the clinch. Porter was out working him and stealing rounds off of his work rate. Spence started trading because he needed to match porters pace, that’s what actually happened. And he eas obviously uncomfortable in that fight, once again you’re a fanboy

Styles do make fights. Spence does a lot better than Bud to me. Jab, body work, cut off the ring. Defense is much tighter. Bud loves to exchange too much and if he does that with Errol he’ll get beat up simple. Errol is very versatile. He can outbox you, bang in the trenches, or seek and destroy. Bud also always starts very slow. Basically gonna forfeit the first two rounds. Errol is much busier than him. I just can’t see him beating Errol. But I also wouldn’t be surprised because he always seems to win

Anything can happen in the fight between the two, you saw in the first rounds that TC kept holding when Porter came with more pressure he could do the same with ES. He seem to get better after half which is when opponent is tired, 2 things though 1. ES can take a punch and keeps coming with his face towards you, 2. Knock down maybe be too much, but if it went all the way to the end then TC could lose on points because of early rounds that is why he likes to just finish it.
In boxing you don't win before the fight meaning anything can happen.

it did look like Spence was limping on his way into the arena to see the fight. But until I see him get beat up on in the ring, I can't doubt what that boy can do in the ring. That being said, Bud is growing on me with every fight he has. Respect to both guys.

I disagree, it's close but Spence a different monster. Not taking anything away from TC bc his performance was A+ but I feel like that Porter mindset wasn't the same. Spence hasn’t stopped anyone since Ocampo in 2018 (the accident didn’t help I know) and was taken 12 rounds by a lightweight in Mikey Garcia. And yeah I think Bud is going to be stronger up close, certainly stronger than Spence will anticipate, look at the way he manhandled Porter? I like both fighters, but it’s definitely advantage Crawford and Spence knows it too, which is why he’s not calling him out like he was Thurman/Porter/Garcia.

Spence hit Porter 256 times to get 1 knockdown and a 12 rd split decision, while Crawford hit Porter 98 times to get 2 knockdowns in rd 10 and Kenny Porter stopped the fight...
...seems to mean that Crawford's punches did a lot more damage.
The only thing I can say about Spence is the better the competition the better he performs. That's what people don't realize. Bud is the same way. That's why it's Gon be a great fight. Crawford also had that advantage of watching Spence fight Porter. That gives you an edge on how to approach the fight differently. Also, people seem to forget that Spence likes to fight people using their own style. He probably could have "outboxed" Porter the way Crawford did, but he chose to fight fire with fire.

If you're gonna compare performances against Porter then please just look at the actual scorecards and outcomes. Spence won in a split decision, Crawford stopped Porter. Even if you wanna say Kenny stopped it early, with the knockdowns Crawford was AT LEAST headed for a unanimous decision. When you add in Porters comments about which fight HE found more difficult, you have to say Crawford beat Porter more impressively than Spence did.

Crawford didn't figure out Porter... he was struggling and getting outboxed and out hussled on the inside, he was throwing the same step back counter left uppercut all night until he caught Shawn with it. You really think he can do that with a skilled fighter like Spence?

Great Fight, I favor Spence. The fact that Spence will not let no-one smaller than him to beat him. Crawford starts off too slow and lately has been getting too much. Spence is tech, can box and we haven't seen all his skills set. Bud did what he was supposed to do, Spence fought Porter , at his own game. would love to see reacts to getting hit by puncher to see if he holds up. Not taking nothing from Bud cause he has the movement and tools, If he don't catch Spence early, I just see Spence using his size and power and break him down. I wasn't not impressed by Bud, if Shawn had power , the fight could have been different.
