Jason should have just given Sonny his organization back. At first Sonny was too thirsty for revenge, but when the problem with the Russians was over he should have gave it back. In a month and a half Jason's going to claim he never wanted to run things. So why didn't he just give it back to Sonny months ago. Sonny built the organization and if Jason really isn't interested in power, why keep it? I hate how the writers act like Sonny can't run an organization without Jason's help when he ran it for years before Jason even came in the picture. Sonny taught Jason about the business, but now they want to act like he's incompetent. People on these pages want to bash Sonny, but Jason did the most disloyal thing in the world to Sonny when he helped Carly take his kids. Sonny and Jason are my two favorite characters on this show, but I hate how they're writing it. I'm glad this is almost over.

Also the men were furious with sonny for bringing the Russians wrath on them. Bernie made it clear some of the men were out for blood. They had to wait for things to cool down before they could transfer over power. Also sonny didn't run the business for years with out Jason. Sonny took over for frank smith, and his first rival to his new organization nearly killed him and everyone he loved. A few months later he got busted by the Feds for Rico violations. Lily sonny's first wife had to pull strings with her dad to get sonny free. Then a few more months later he ends up with Jason. So he gets the business in a year winds up almost dying, as well as lands himself in jail so clearly he didn't so well without Jason. Also sonny may have taught him everything he knows but Jason surpassed sonny along time ago. The first time Jason took over the business revenue skyrocketed 15 percent. An every time since the men have been More loyal to him then they ever were to sonny. Not to mention he's dealt with threats a lot faster then sonny. Finally if Jason hadn't forced sonny to sign away his rights, Carly was gonna run away with them. So if anything sonny should thank him.
Not only does Jason deal with threats quicker, he also is not so quick to want to "take out" the threat without knowing if it really is a threat. Example: Sonny was so sure it was the Russian's that shot Kate and wanted Jason to go to war with them. Jason wanted to be absolutely sure before he made a move. And because it was a known fact that Sonny was after Karpov, when he was killed by his own organization all hell broke loose.
Sonny didn't build anything Luke handed him Franks Smiths organization after he killed Frank. Jason isn't giving the business back at this stage because Sonny is acting like an irrational child, he wants to punish himself for Michael and is using the organisation to do it. Jason also knows how greedy he is if Jason gave it back he'd still want the Zachariah family power and try to merge the two and since Anthony is really pulling his strings It'd be like handing the entire town to Anthony.

Also, because of Michael being shot, Carly wanted Sonny to give up parental rights to both Michael and Morgan. Sonny did it, but made the demand that Jason take over the organization, which made Kate happy. Jason did so, but Sonny still wanted to tell Jason what to do and how to do it. Jason wasn't having it. So Sonny hooked up with the Russians and then joined the Zacchara organization and hooked up with Claudia. He was trying to use the dock, which was in Jason's territory to bring it whatever it is the Z organization sells/uses/ (come to think of it, other than the coffee we know NOTHING about what the shipments for any of them are).
If you figure it out, please let me know. He's a spoiled brat, that won't listen to anyone because he knows it all. Someone should slap his butt silly.
