    If you haven't already done so somewhere, perhaps it would be nice to do a set of these videos on different transistor types that look at how they behave in the linear region? It's hard to find good information that summarizes linear use of transistors of more modern types.

    Please make a video on MOST efficient TRIAC switching for iot applications instead of relay.
    For LED lights troubleshooting with harmonics flikering due to inpure sine voltage from TRIAC
    don't want dimmer but I need perfect switch from TRAIC

    hi. Can I change the IGBT in my small welding machine with Mosfet? my welding machine has 4 IGBT ( 60n60fd1 ) and I need to replace them with 4 mosfet ( IXFN60N60 ) same voltage same current more power but some different other characteristics. I need guidance in this one since I don't want my new 4 expensive mosfet to get exploding in case of failer

    On IGBT and MOSFET always have a diode connect from S to D,E to C.why need diode ? You can explain ? @Foolish Engineer ?

      Is to protect from reverse current and this also reduce the recovery time of switching (reverse recovery)

      although i know this i have no clue of the difference between mosfet and igbt with same specs, i believe the only difference is that IGBT consumes more current in the gate than MOSFET and is less faster and more secure for high voltage applications... what you think?
