Definitely think that regardless of how much money we're paying or they're earning, industries that focus on the care of people need to accept that us neurodivergents are people too, our needs are valid and we're not going anywhere.
I've never laughed so hard and so much for such a long time. You are 100% true the nhs is f****d and the dentist industry is horrible. I'm sure they play drilling and people screaming into the reception area. Btw I've just recently discovered your page and I'm about to start from the beginning and watch your channel grow. Hopefully it will give me a better understanding of possible crossovers in my recently discovered diagnosis (only through GP, 3 years min to see a specialist) . Thank you for making me smile and enjoy the start of a wonderful journey
YEAH, DENTISTRY, is the only doctor that can literally decide how much they wanna make, they are gonna get more for doing more, and don't have to send you anywhere else, so yeah it's hard to trust them, you can see then seeing dollar signs ITS ALL private here in amerika and the poor just have terrible teeth, even the Best employer dental insurance only covers cleanings really.
I am pretty sure that when it comes to NHS dentists they will do a filling on a tooth that has nothing wrong with it just so they can claim money from the NHS for your treatment. Just a conspiracy theory of mine but how many of us actually go to another dentist for a second opinion? We just trust that they are being honest. Mind you, this if you are lucky to have a NHS dentist in the first place. I can't afford private. I had nothing but pain from a tooth ever since my dentist did a filling on it. I had no problems with it beforehand yet dentist said it needed a filling. Fairly sure 95% of the time there is nothing wrong with someone's teeth. They get paid more from the NHS if you needed to have treatment.
To be fair when I went as an NHS patient they found other stuff that needed doing, but when I went as a private patient I only had treatment for what I went for and needed 🤔
I think this is not so much about public or private as the huge variations in costs and quality of service across not just dentistry but almost any kind of service. Private dentists will also vary widely in quality. With other services such as getting building work or some other home repairs / improvements done it's possible to get free quotes which can help show the differences in prices and what they can do but with dentistry in the UK at least this generally isn't possible - a dentist might give you a quote or estimate but you have to pay for it so shopping around before buying becomes very expensive. Even if you do get all these details beforehand that provides no guarantee that the work will be well done or that the customer service will be good. In the end the best policy is to make use of recommendations or stick with a good provider like the one you have discovered. Some dentists - in common with other service providers - just somehow offer excellent, sensitive and supportive customer service but such really high standards are unusual.

Thanks Dana. That was informative. Set up a "Go Fund Me" - I'll put a few dollars in.
