The jack from China sure had a pretty red (China) paint job. Unfortunately, paint doesn't hold much weight. lol.

It's used equipment, second-hand, so we don't know it has been through, overloads for example. So, we're testing something without really being able to talk about it.

It appears that you were calling 1000 lbs as one ton when it is actually 2000 lbs. Still the soviet jack stood up to double its rated load.

In the UK a ton is 2240 lbs

That's because despite the channel name, they are not from the USA. Elsewhere where they use the metric system, 1000kg is a ton.
