    Amazon dayz got this guy all excited. And then I didn't even buy the drone that was on sale. I went top shelf. Who's surprised. Certainly not my wife. Oh well. Lets get that drone up and we'll try to go for a walk in the mosquito infected North.

    Don't blame you for bailing out on the mosquitoes. Drone takes great video. You could pick out bigfoot down there waving at you.

    From my home office looking at the drone footage, I thought to myself, gee it sure is beautiful from up there. Lots of dead trees though. As for the bugs, I itch all over 😅

    Hey, new kit Gary ,6 years on drone time ,1st go for a while technically ,I like to see slow approach on trees 🌳, More times to come with practice , Great zooms in ,on 🪨
    U could take this seriously : a onezee for the woods , a full Spiderman outfit with a face net cover to battle the bugs or a commando/gorilla suit to battle the bugs of the forest 🤔
    Keen viewers spotted the feather 🪶, Keep persevering 🙏

    Hey Gary - I know you were frustrated with this newer and supposedly improved technology. Please know I appreciate your beautiful music, along with you sailing us over your treetops and your land, swamp and moss covered granite. No matter your disappointment in this new device; you bring me pleasure, adventure and enjoyment that I would never otherwise experience. You are a good man!! Many thanks!!!

      Hey Jan, I actually was only frustrated when I thought it was going to be the same rigmaroll with the software updates. I've been flying it for a week now and it is much improved over the old drone both in tech hardware and the software that runs it. Really enjoying using the new drone.

    not all these drones are completely program bug proof. I follow a guy in Alberta and he looks for the same kind of being you do and he had a drone someone sent him. The drone drove his goats nuts so he had to use it far from them. Then when he was practicing with it, the drone decided to go off on it's own ignoring his commands and it avoided a few trees it was about to hit then veered off into a direction and he's never seen it since.

    Wow, that's exactly what I was hoping for, aerial footage, right on. Thank you Gary for the views from the drone. Awesome little unit. What's the matter with some of those trees? Mountain pine beetle infestation?
    Couldn't get anymore proof than this, for those who were skeptics. You can all clearly see - there's no structures, no homes, no farmland, no people. What is that large body of water in the distance? I like that this has it's own controller with a screen as opposed to hooking up with your phone, its a dedicated two-in-one controller with screen. Once you've got things all set to go, it'll be great for regular aerial research. 🏞🗻 Where's the trail for the hike down towards the swamp? Thanks Gary and Gage - The G&G Team

    • @bigfootergary

      Yeah spruce bug infestation...

    • @Juanita6173
      @Juanita6173 Месяц назад +1

      @@bigfootergary So Ontario has spruce bug infestation, and here in BC its the mountain pine beetle. Makes the trees all go red or ashen grey....essentially killing the tree. I think it was an invasive species - those beetles upon hearing the first reports 20+ yrs ago

    Hey Gary! Patience isn't a virtue of mine either. I hope it works out for you, because that means we get great footage. You'll definitely see if there is anything moving back there. Are you able to bird watch with that? I didn't know if they'd see it as "hostile" or possibly make too much noise. Never had one, so I'm not familiar with them at all. People that's never dealt with "skeeters" by the 1000 won't understand. So, I don't blame you for bailing. Still, you are appreciated. Have a great evening, pet Gage and say hey to Mrs Reed 👍

    Can you have the drone "walk" the trail? ... or two much foliage hanging around. I'd personally love to also see overhead drone footage of the trails you walk in relation to the larger swamp area to see how far it goes back etc. You could narrate a few drone vids while bug season is still happening. Or live back porch night videos are good too!

    Oh no. Not those damned bugs again. I think we need to find you and Gage a bug repellant that works so you can go outside and not be eaten alive by bugs. We don't get mosquitos where I live so I cannot share any results of any home remedies for bug repellants.

    Hi Gary, was that eagle flying regulation size or was it closer to the drone than it seems?😂
    PS: I'm with you on the mozzies...that sound is traumatising. I know what it's like.

    • @bigfootergary
      @bigfootergary  Месяц назад

      the birds were fairly close. The 24mm lens makes things look farther away sometimes...

  • @KendraB1967
    @KendraB1967 Месяц назад

    Why didn't you check the stone box with the drone? Can you not take it that low, when you're that far away? Also, I don't know why you won't try essential oils to keep the bugs away. They're all natural, so you won't be using chemicals. Great drone footage, by the way.

    • @bigfootergary
      @bigfootergary  Месяц назад +1

      I was..but because of the trees you can't go low enough to see in it...you lose signal and then the drone either returns to home or flys off....its a scary proposition....
