The G7 with the A on string 4, how the ? Am I allowed to use my thumb or is that cheating?

If the thumb works for you, feel free to use it! Though for this much movement, it will likely get pretty uncomfortable fast. As shown in the video, Aldrine uses his middle, ring, and pinky fingers to form the main G7 shape (on the C, E, and A strings), then uses his pointer finger to add the movement on the G string.
