    • @OhLeahDarling
      @OhLeahDarling 3 года назад +3

      @Jade Kraut I totally get that and am aware of the condition and reasoning. While not misophonia, I do have audio triggers that affect my mental illness and worsen my tinnitus. For me, unfortunately, really shrill noises are definitely significant triggers. Along with really loud, sudden sounds like any kind of blast or glass breaking, they're honestly pretty insufferable. Growing up in an Asian household, slurping, luckily, was never triggering and only became synonymous with harmless and generally good things.
      Honestly, you can't really ever please everyone.

    • @OhLeahDarling
      @OhLeahDarling 3 года назад +1

      @Jade Kraut No worries! I remember a long time ago when I was a kid seeing a thing on TV about a girl whose misophonia was triggered by her own mother's voice. I also recall that, generally, a lot of folks who really, really can't deal with ASMR in the worst way probably suffer from misophonia. It's definitely rough. Auditory issues just aren't cut and dry. I've had to work really hard to be able to deal with my triggers at all, but it still sucks to be taken off guard by them. What's helpful to some people definitely hurts others.

I get that it's organic, good quality and well sourced but as someone who drinks a lot of tea, the most expensive "luxury" tea brands dont cost me more than $10-15 for loose leaf tea where I live (EU) and for more amount. @@ashlee9454 I hope this didn't discourage you from trying tea. I'm a tea drinker and I hoped this would open up the tea world to people who feel intimidated. Unfortunately Zach tea is horribly expensive for even a luxury tea, giving the impression that tea is very exclusive, when tea is actually very accessible and affordable. If you would like a few recommendations, Stash loose leaf Earl Grey tea $6.99 for 3.5oz on amazon. Earl Grey is black tea that is infused with bergamot, which is a lovely fragrant citrus. Moroccan Mint is a blend of green tea and mint, and is very refreshing. In Morocco, they sweeten it with sugar. Rooibos is a bush from South Africa, technically not "tea" tea, but has a nice mild, slightly sweet, nutty flavor, and is caffeine free.

I buy tea from David’s tea and they are just as high quality, fair trade, and organic. They only charge 8-14 dollars max for an ounce. A decrease in price would be nice. It‘s an organic green yasmin tea ( the tea gets the flavour from drying while being covered with yasmin flowers). It costs 7-8 € for a bag of 100 gram. I would have to pay 80 $ to get 100 g of Zach‘s tea. 80€ for a normal sized bag of tea! I’m speechless.

    As much as I liked the series, this isn’t good advice for most people. Most people do not have millions of followers, almost guaranteeing some kind of revenue. They do not have the ability to partner with successful brands and companies for free (or being paid). This series is unrealistic for the average person. Most people starting brands do not have hundreds of designs to choose from or a team of employees to help them out. Of course this brand is going to be successful. Fans are going to buy from and support you no matter what. The price is also quite high. I know that’s what happens if you source ethically and pay fairly, but most people are going to choose from already established, cheaper brands because of the price. Buying expensive tea is a luxury, and I’m sure there’s a market for it, but your audience is made up of young people who do not have disposable incomes. Again, this is super fun and cool, but it’s just not realistic for the average consumer or entrepreneur in any sense. Edit: extra words

If by any means it gets even near the neutral range, oxyntic cells are gonna produce excess of acid to revert it back to acidic causing acidity which IS harmful. I’m SUPER confused. The Art of Tea sells their tea for approximately $21-26 for a four ounce bag of one of their more complex teas, or lets say an average of $6 an ounce. Aren’t you getting your supplies from them? Why is an ounce and a half of tea $20 from Zadiko? You’re asking more than $13 an ounce, twice as much as The Art of Tea. I mean, charge what you want, but I don’t think anything you mentioned that went into this launch justifies that price difference. If you’re doing it, as you say, to help others like yourself in chronic pain and in need of a solution, you are upcharging some of those who need help right out of being able to afford it. I’m also not suggesting you do it for free or give it away, but it just comes across a little greedy, in my opinionated opinion. I honestly hope the launch goes great for you and is very successful and wish you nothing but the best.

      You are very correct, he is getting his supplies from them, which (I suspect) is why he included them in the video. Their website allows people to become wholesalers for them, but I bet he made a deal where they allow him to resell the tea as a retailer, as long as he advertised them in a video, and as long as he buys the tea at retail price. If he wants to be transparent and admit he's just reselling someone else's tea, that's fine, let people who want to still support him buy it...but don't allow people to think he sources his own tea and blends it himself! Art of Tea does all that for him and he just takes the profit. What Zach owns is a label printing business.

    I love loose-leaf tea, and I spend a decent amount of time and money making sure my tea is ethically sourced and brewed just-so. Even though I admire the thought of informing the audience about tea and discussing the details of creating a small business, this series missed the mark for me. I wanted more discussion about, well, the business side of things. I wanted more transparency about the financial and logistical decisions. How did he choose to work with the Art of Tea vs. other companies? What are the costs and benefits of selling tea sourced through another company instead of going directly to a grower/supplier? What FDA legal considerations did he had to keep in mind when advertising tea's health benefits? What did the final budget look like? I'm not a business person, and after watching this series, I can't say that I am any more informed about that field than I was at the start. I'd love a follow-up video getting more into the nitty gritty details. There's a lot more to unpack here that would actually help viewers instead of just selling them a product.

    not a tea drinker so wont be buying this (i bought keith's hot sauce and even that i thought was a bit pricey but still within reason), but it seems every time a try guy comes out with a product, there's a sort of "try tax" imposed on the product. when it came to keith's hot sauce i actually think it was a good idea. it's a unique sauce that came from keith's tastes and preferences and considering it comes from a reputable hot sauce manufacturer, the price ($15) isn't crazy, but it's definitely more than you'd pay for, lets say, tabasco, cholula, or frank's red hot. but the problem is, it's not proportionally better in taste than tabasco, cholula, and frank's red hot, at least in my opinion. but i'm okay with that because it's a unique item that i was willing to try, and if i was keith i'd definitely take advantage of that tax to make a little extra, especially considering maybe how difficult it would be to convince people to buy it again once they taste it and possibly decide that it does not beat the other competitor hot sauces.
    but the try tax imposed on zadiko looks a bit much to me, haha.

      And it seems so common in movies and on TV shows that whenever someone is drinking it has to be slurped, and I really don‘t understand why. Hot beverages I kinda understand, still hate it, but why do people slurp cold or room temperature beverages? And the sounds used were hilarious as well.

      I have misophonia too! I also posted a comment thanking Zach and the production/editing team for censoring out the slurping sounds. I've had to not watch some of their videos because of my misophonia (most notably the Keith eats everything-videos). Im so glad there's someone out there with the same condition, it's so rare that doctors can't afford to research it. Glad to know that I'm not alone. :)

    "Many shipping proceeds go to charity?"
    So shipping is actually less that you are charging and you usually profit off it?
    And then it doesn't even all go to charity? How much could it even be. Why not take an actual percentage off your profits?
    The price is already pretty high and attempting to garner charity with such an empty statement seems so shady to me.

    • @StubbornViking
      @StubbornViking 3 года назад +36

      Boony2000 the whole thing is shady and gross and an obvious cash grab. If he was worried about helping those with pain like him, he wouldn’t mark up the suppliers own price 3x what they ask for retail! He’s probably getting the tea at a wholesale price from them and not just charging retail, but three times The Art of Tea’s retail price. It’s astounding, and then the ambiguity of the claim about shipping going to charity. How about you just charge whatever it cost to ship it, and take a chunk of your large mark up and donate THAT to charity? I’m so grossed out by this whole thing.

    I think zach did not really take in consideration his audience in this.most of the try guys audience are like teenagers to young adults and most don't have money to spend 20 dollars on tea, especially during the pandemic, where people are losing their jobs. Zach said the tea was affordable! affordable HOW! Its 20 dollars for a ounce of tea! In fact, the company he is partnering up with sells their tea at a much lower price for about 21 dollars for 6 ounces. What's stopping me from buying their tea instead of zach's?

    • @aseeker2269
      @aseeker2269 3 года назад +3

      Wouldn't it be something if that was part of the company's plan all along? Indirect promotion? It's a wild idea, but if true, it's definitely working. I'm seeing lots of comments from posters stating they'd rather by the tea from the company (ArtofTea? ) rather than Zack because it's more affordable, and some of them likely never knew they existed until Zack started to work with them. No matter what Zack gets out of this business venture, ArtofTea wins. They got more exposure and possible customers.

It just seems a bit explotive of him selling the tea at such a high price when most of his audience are young. I definitely think that his company has so much potential. Not to mention all the health benefits that he didn't even confirm or consult with a doctor first!
